Kimberton Golf Club
About
Kimberton Golf Club, which opened in 1962, has stood the test of time. Well known golf course designer George Fazio created a nice mix of holes about 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. The golf course isn't overly long and doesn't feature a lot of trouble, but it's long on fun. The signature par-4 third, a dogleg right around woods, is a pretty hole and worth the trip. Kimberton Golf Club is a just good old-fashioned, Philadelphia-style golf course.

Oh Kimberton… what happened???
Kimberton was once a serviceable course, not entirely sure what happened. Im better off hitting balls in my backyard then going to play here. The rough looked like I was going through a jungle, hit your ball in the rough? Might as well get ready to drop another, you aren’t finding it! For a public course I don’t expect great greens but I might as well have been on the price is right, it was like putting on a plinko board the way the ball was bouncing. I love a good Sunday round behind many walkers. I’ll give it two stars cause the grease missile at the turn was phenomenal.
Where do I start. Kimberton used to be my all time favorite course in the area. I recently moved back into the area after about 2 years and was very excited to be able to play it again. After going out this past Sunday using the word disappointed is an under statement from the 3 groups of walkers in front of me slowing down the pace of play to if you hit your ball even a foot off the fairway good luck finding it might as well just drop another, to the worst part the greens it’s like I was playing basketball how much my ball was bouncing. Needless to say I won’t be returning anytime soon, It’s almost like they are under new management and people are just really dropping the ball. There are way to many other golf courses in better condition in the area, SAVE YOUR MONEY and go somewhere else.
Good Public Course
Kimberton is a good local public course that is fairly easy. Fairways and greens were in ok shape but nothing spectacular. We played in under 4 hours. It is a good value.
Nice layout – great value.
Nice layout – great value.
Overall a very nice course at a very low rate. I found the staff to be very friendly. Most of the greens were in decent shape, considering it was still only mid March. . The bunkers were in decent shape and the greens were very wet, not surprising for this time of year. Overall it’s well-kept. Nice variety of challenging holes , along with a couple of longer par fours. I would definitely return and recommend this as a great municipal course in the area.
This course was nice
Very nice course open and fun to play
Had a great time and the staff was great.
I would play this course again
Great Value
A decent Course and a great value for your money. Overall conditions are good and Greens were in excellent shape
Sweet Course!
Courses great conditions were pretty good, the only thing I would add is better signage to the next t because the links are awful tight in the roads just don't show which one is for a newcomer. Other than that staff is great course is awesome
thanks!
first course this year where i have seen free ice and water on tge course. teally hit the spot! course in usial great ahape
Great Value for the money.
Fun course, friendly staff & excellent value for the money.
nice course but overbooked
great conditions and easy course layout but the pace of play was so slow we had to quit by the 15th hole. completely backed up, we would finish up on the green and the group ahead wouldn't even be done teeing off. not enough time in between tee times.
