Kimberton Golf Club
About
Kimberton Golf Club, which opened in 1962, has stood the test of time. Well known golf course designer George Fazio created a nice mix of holes about 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. The golf course isn't overly long and doesn't feature a lot of trouble, but it's long on fun. The signature par-4 third, a dogleg right around woods, is a pretty hole and worth the trip. Kimberton Golf Club is a just good old-fashioned, Philadelphia-style golf course.

Nice Layout
Course was nicely laid out and maintained well. The greens were challenging and fast while the rough was short and easy to play out of.
Another Beautiful Day in Covid Paradise
Packed beautiful day but moved well throughout all 18. Soft but faster greens with subtle breaks. Staff was great and $0.50 wing and beer after the round were killer good. Will play again and would recommend...but 5hat means it will be more crowded....
Nicely Done!
First really nice weekend that filled up all the tee times. Yet we got off on time and reasonable pace continued throughout the round Greens were soft yet quick with subtle breaks. I actually managed a couple pars on my first round of COVID ‘21. After the round the $0.50 wings were killer as we watched others complete their round with a couple barley pops. I would play again, maybe walk, and would recommend others give it a try. Side note - they were great in looking up my name and number then calling my cell after I left my CC at he bar. Thanks!
Well kept course
The course was in great condition for this time of year. Had no issues with leaves or finding balls like other courses recently. Challenging but not frustrating for an average player such as myself. Good pace of play and finished in 4 hrs. Would definitely recommend and look forward to playing again.
Great October day playing golf
Wonderful golf track with modest challenges that make it enjoyable. Fast greens and fairway elevation changes that keep you honest. Course was full but pace of play kept up. Great golf course.
Satisfied
Nice weather, good greens, a little dried out in places. A fair amount of gnarly grass if you got off the fairways, but free sides were very good.
Not what I expected.
I've played Kimberton several times over the years but this was the first time this year. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the condition of the course. The greens were link concrete and couldn't hold any shot. You could tell they were not watered for a few days. As for the rough, you couldn't find any of your balls hit over 100 yards because they haven't been mowed in a sometime. I still like the course but this was not what I expected.
Kimbo Slice
Love this course! Some easy holes, some challenging. Nice staff, good food, and the course is always in great shape!
Jammed Schedule
Pretty decent course for its price as well, but really could use some work on their tee time scheduling.
Sorry to hear the start of your round did not go a smoothly as usual. We practice 9 minute tee time intervals here with a "starter" catch up time every 90 minutes to allow for even better flow. Our players have been raving about 3 and 1/2 to 4 hour rounds all season since we instituted this policy. Hopefully you'll come back and try us again
Great staff. Nice layout. Tough greens
They were out of power from the recent storms but were very friendly and we actually had an amazing day out. Those greens though, tough reads and speed changes depending on what hole you’re on. Tough putting. Had fun.
Pace of play
Pace of play is key to any good review of a golf course and today was perfect especially on a hot day. Didn't wait at all today and finished the tound under 3 and half hours!
Sorry to hear the experience you had at the club wasn't what you've been accustomed to. We've been hearing great things about the conditions lately, but it's always good to know when players don't have the same experience as others. Greens got firm and fast with with dry weather and wind lately, even with daily watering they still require some spin to hold when that happens. Our rough once you get more then 5-10 yards off the fairways is kept at 2.5-3 inches and is seen as a great equalizer for the course. Hopefully we'll see you back soon... we have recently areated, seeded and too dressed our greens which will make them much more receptive in the fall. Take care and stay safe!
