Kimberton Golf Club
About
Kimberton Golf Club, which opened in 1962, has stood the test of time. Well known golf course designer George Fazio created a nice mix of holes about 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. The golf course isn't overly long and doesn't feature a lot of trouble, but it's long on fun. The signature par-4 third, a dogleg right around woods, is a pretty hole and worth the trip. Kimberton Golf Club is a just good old-fashioned, Philadelphia-style golf course.

Kimberton Golf
For the middle of march the course was in good condition. The greens were true and fast. Grass is not growing yet so ruff was easy. Looks like they are making some improvements to some of the older bunkers and planted some new trees. Always good to see a course trying to improve. Repaving the cart paths would be nice as they are in need of repair in some places.
50 degrees in January
Other then the greens being very wet, the course was in good shape. Nothing the staff could do about the water other than close the course, so a little water was fine in my book. Had a great day.
Great day
I enjoyed playing today. Even though the course was wet I had an excellent experience. The foursome I was assigned had fun despite the slow pace. The staff as always was friendly and courteous. The weather cooperated and I felt comfortable all day. I traveled a distance to play this course and it was worth it. Keep up the good work.
Nice course
We went after it rained for a couple of days not a very well drained course they need to make some improvements on the water drainage systems
Happy new year
I booked this tee time through Golf now and it was only $12 so can’t say it wasn’t a good value. But conditions could have been better. I was expecting it to be cold. And it was. Course was payed out a little differently than most other courses I played, but definitely not in as good condition. It was very wet and muddy and some bunkers were water-logged. Cart path only. Every hole had significant amount of mud. I’m no stranger to the rough, but it hasn’t rained for a few days and my ball was repeatedly stuck 1/3 deep in mud on fairway or rough. Greens had a lot of divots, which could be players, but looked to be under maintained for low traffic at the course. I’m being a little harsh, but really comparing to other courses I’ve played in the area. Overall the course is a little longer, has holes with different layouts and some challenging greens, but could be maintained better to improve my experience.
Awesome Round
By far the best greens in chester/montgomery county. greens rolled about an 11! fairways leaf free! we were foursome and played in three hours and fifteen minutes! beautiful weather on a beautiful course!
great shape
play here often. impressed that maintenance was aggressively cleaning leaves off fairways and greens.
My Birthday
Great day for golf celebrating my birthday with my brother from Corning, NY and with my son(38).
I beat them both.
Their was a tournament scheduled for the afternoon and it took a couple of holes to put it together but the pin placements were in "unusual" positions, making putting less than ideal.
Tougher than it looks.
Seems super straight forward. Wide fairways and a straight layout. On some holes, overhanging branches make for an unlikely trap. That’s not a rebuke but added to the challenge. Super fast and well kept greens made slightly sloped or flat greens much tougher than they first appear. It’s also quite beautiful. All in all had a great day and will definitely be back.
Review
Played the course for the first time and was pleased with the course design but then I noticed it was a George Fazio design, so no surprise. Very friendly design, not to tough and very little water comes into play. Wide open fairways with plenty of rough, so second shots were possible even when the fairway was missed. The greens started a little bit on the slow side but quickened as the round went on and the early morning dew dried up. We played at a good pace and completed the round in just under four hours. We actually played 19 holes as we missed the third hole initially thinking seventeen was three so after playing the wrong hole we circled back to get back on course. I look forward to trying this course again. now that I have a better understanding of the layout.
Super Day
Great day. Perfect weather. Pace a little slow but with a score in the seventies who cares. Staff friendly and courteous.
Fun
I played terribly but that wasn't the courses fault.
Everything's in great shape except a few under repair spots in the fw, but I wasn't hitting the fairway so who cares.
Pace of play of group ahead could have been better but not entirely the courses fault.
Golf carts are prehistoric.
A course worth playing
First time play
I have never played here before but will definitely return. The staff was extremely accommodating and the course was in great shape. I got a great deal on Golf now and it was worth the 55 minute drive. The hot dogs in the club house were very good too!!
