Berkleigh Golf Club

Hands down one of my favorite courses. Definitely a long course With challenging holes. Greens are always in great shape in addition to the fairways and tee boxes. Staff members are polite and attentive. The thing that separates this course from others in the pace of play… phenomenal!! This course is never over crowded and rarely are you waiting behind another group. I’ve played multiple 2hr or so rounds here without rushing. Weekends are a little pricey however there are always hot deals and discount opportunities. They also have a grass driving range (no mats) and a chipping and putting green, however the chipping area does need some work. Club house was recently renovated and has an excellent indoor bar area. Can’t say enough good things about this course A++++

This course hosted PGA events, the conditions aren’t suitable to host a friendly local events.

Bunker maintenance is terrible, NO Sand. You’re going to be blading your shots all day.

Like a lot of courses, Berkleigh is investing in course improvements to make the golf more enjoyable. Like improving the cart paths and bunkers which were immaculate. The rough remains thick and long which puts a premium on hitting fairways.

I felt we kept an even pace. The course Marshal harassed us on hole 2 about speeding up the pace. He claimed we were holding up everybody. I will never play this course again. The golf course is beautiful. We did not feel welcome. I have played many courses this year. The first time I felt like it would have been better to just not play. The 2 guys I took out with me felt the same way.

My first time playing this course and recommend. The layout is all in front of you with the exception of one hole with a blind tee shot. Course and greens were in good condition particularly give the amount of heavy rain recently. I was driving from NJ to Pittsburgh and this was a perfect stop.

This course is finally back to its pristine condition since before when it was a country club. Great layout and worth the price. Highly recommend. Loved that they switched the front and back 9s, played smoother and you end on a tough par 5.

The course is in excellent shape. The greens are receptive and putts roll nicely. The best part of the round was getting a Hole in One on the 6th hole. Certainly made it a memorable experience! The only negative is the condition of the cart paths..need repair. Overall it is an enjoyable course to play and pleasing to view

Bunkers need more sand and the ones that don’t need raking. Otherwise beautiful track,

I always enjoy playing Berkleigh Golf Course. Generally, I play there at least once a week. This golf course is always in excellent condition and the layout is excellent. The Staff is friendly too. I have not had an opportunity to eat in the restaurant which I hope to do in the near future after a round of golf.

First of all I would like to commend the staff and PGA professional for their attentiveness and friendliness when we arrived! As for the course itself, it is an incredible shape and for those that have not played it you will love it… Guaranteed! Lush fairways and beautiful greens… It is absolutely a pleasure to play…

Bunkers looked to be in really nice shape, which is more or less how I determine quality for the money. It looks like there have been some changes to the course and club house: Trees cut down/back, new club renovation. The course was well kept, rough is a bit grabby. Greens rolled nice as well. I would return but I think $70 on Saturday morning paired with an hour drive away is a tough sell. There is room for improvement, a few blind tee shots should have a bell or something to ring so players on the tee know it's safe. The bar is over priced. 6 miller lites and a hot dog at the turn was $30! They offered 'Turn Burgers' for $5, which is just a burger but they sold burger platters if you called in for more than twice as much! The tee sheet was not packed, and we still were asked to allow a group to play through. Note that they were not significantly better than us, but the solution was to split our foursome up, not force us to wait 15-20 minutes for the hackers behind us push ahead. My handicap app times my rounds, we came in at 4:21, which means we were on pace for a 4 hour round - exactly what the course asks for! I'd recommend this course solely to play, but not for anything specific. I would not drink or eat here again, and I'd only play with the right hot deal.

Greens held. Fairways were great conditipns. Tee boxes are rough, including not flat; if i must have a sidehill lie it shouldn't be on the tee. Grtens interesting and slow. Sandtraps were fine.

Brilliant Course. From tee to green. Wouldn’t recommend golfing before 730am, a ton of fog but not golf courses fault. Start time 6am, and took time for the fog to roll out. It’s left, right, up and down. Can’t miss fairways or greens, plenty of trees, water and bunkers surrounding. A new favorite.

I really enjoyed this layout, strong holes throughout and a fair, long, testing challenge of a course. Not gimmicky in any way but the terrific greens in wonderful conditions made this worth the long drive to get there. Only drawback was the cart paths, something I have never complained even a peep about on any course. I am almost always willing to overlook for such quality golf but these are another level of jarring back-jolting disrepair that it so out of character with the loving care shown the rest of the course and made it necessary to dock a star.
