Middletown Country Club

This course is well kept and plays okay, with some challenges here and there. It is a bit confusing to navigate from one hole to the next in several places. They should supply more signs to direct players around. Otherwise it is also a bit hilly on some holes and it gets hard to track balls when hit 200 or more yards. The greens slant in all directions and are often difficult to read. Otherwise on a nice day it’s a great place to hit some balls.

Overall in terrible condition, tee boxes are nothing but dirt and weeds, course layout was a nightmare and you can lose a ball easily since nothing is being cut. Came here last year and don’t remember the place being a bad.

Got to the course and found out aeration had been just been done. Could only play back nine. VERY slow! On the plus side the fairways and greens were good. However most of the tee boxes were terrible. Only positive there was you use a tee so you are not hitting off dirt or weeds.

Tee time went off as scheduled and pace of play was good throughout that we weren't waiting on any holes. Can't wait to go back and play again.

Good course for someone to learn on. Greens were in excellent condition considering how much rain we’ve had in the last two weeks. Halfway house and club house could use some work but they had the essentials. Staff members were all friendly.

This course has sloping fairways, sloping greens, and challenging par 3’s. Get ready to feel frustrated.

Before we tee'd off, the starter claimed the course was in great condition. Well, I think he needs his eyes checked because that couldn't be further from the truth. If you're a fan of pot holes on the tee boxes and greens as hairy as an adult film actress from the 70s, then this is the course for you. There was a brick in the middle of the 7th fairway. On top of all of this it took us 3 hours to play 5 holes. We went into the pro shop to ask for a refund or rain check and they wouldn’t refund us. Take your money elsewhere.

Entirely too long

Group in front of us were learning the game (not on a Sunday) People jumping holes, including someone that said they worked there, and a ranger driving around that was not moving them along

They are fixing the course up much better then it was a couple years back.

Probably best if you avoid this course. Much better options for the same money.

Stopped playing this course a few years back , I’m not going to bash it because I’ve seen much improvement, Greens were in great shape , fairways were definitely improved , a lot of trees removed , there’s a few more I’d like to see gone . Overall I was pleasantly surprised, keep it going in the right direction !

Greens and fairways were in excellent shape, has a fun layout and the staff is amazing. Will definitely be back soon.

Played here for the second time this year. First time was extremely disappointed in the course conditions and said I wouldn’t be going back. But got one of the hot deals for $28 on weekday vs $75 for a Sunday morning. I couldn’t pass that up. Tees were still in horrific shape, greens are inconsistent. Fairways are ok, but if your in the rough there is crabgrass every where if there is grass at all. Sand traps don’t have any sand. Where there was tree/shrubs removed it was never regraded. Can’t complain too much about a less then $30 round. But it’s not worth the normal price.

Fairways were decent, greens were meh, but those darn teeboxes were horrible. The red and yellows looked half decent but the white teeboxes were uneven and pretty much just weeds and dirt. I'm never one to bash a course as long as they try to mediate an issue like this, but they have been like this for as long as I can remember!
