Highly recommend this course. It is very challenging but definitely has some great scoring holes. The starter is great and same with the Marshall.

Every time I play this course I think, maybe it's a little better. And everytime I leave I always leave hating my experience. The greens were in decent shape for once but everything else was garbage. There's a reason why they always have open tee times. Terrible management and terrible customer experience.

I’ve played this course before but I’ve never seen it in better shape. The greens were in excellent condition - comparable to private courses. The fairways were also well maintained and great to hit from. The traps generally needed some care and tee boxes could be improved but all were better than I’ve seen since playing last year. The course offered some great golf and I’ll definitely be back for more. I highly recommend it.

My son and I played mid-day. Great conditions on the fairways and greens … impeccable! The tee boxes could use some love.

Many people have said this course is in horrible condition but I found the course to be in great shape except that some of the tee boxes need work

After some much needed rain, seeding on tee boxes is coming in and new sod around greens 6,9,11,16, the greens ran fast and true. Loving the trees gone on 2 and 4. Threesome finished in exactly 4 hours including a walker, never waited twosome ahead was fast. Visitor from Jaworski semi-private told us in the bar the greens here are as good as his club. New superintendent is doing A LOT.

5 hour round. Too many short holes that clogged up the course. Tee boxes are so bad you get a bad lie unless you’re hitting driver

Course layout is decent with most shots lending themselves to a golfer with left to right ball flights. The course sits on a hilly plot of land adding to the dynamic of your shots roll out and placement of approaches if you wish to see the pins. Only complaint would be the tee box conditions were pretty rough and in need of leveling. Many boxes your feet would be at uneven heights due to the ground being chewed up or patchy. I would put it at 3.5/5 stars. If the greens keepers used some sand/soil mix to level the tee boxes it would go to a 3.75/5. Greens were in decent conditions running fast. Most fairways were dry and patchy due to recent drought but in decent shape considering.

Tee boxes are very bad! The rest of the course is in good shape and challenging. Staff are good.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. I 100% feel like I was judged by my tattooed skin and treated like I was a piece of garbage by the person in the pro shop at check in. I play a lot of golf courses in the area. I literally live down the street(200yds) from Middletown.

Over the years I've played MCC less because of quality. The quality of the course has been a 180. Minus the tee boxes which are in the process of improvement. The course is in great shape. Great changes the last few years. Greens are fantastic.

Ok, the rudeness I encountered today.

I go in to check in. No real greeting. Just kind of looked me over. I have visible tattoos on my arms. I am perfectly dressed for a round of golf. I kind of felt I was bothering him this morning. I state my name and tee time and that I'm the single. He says to me, you're riding with one of the three. I say, umm ok. Is there a reason why? I say, I don't know these guys. He snaps back at me, we always put foursomes in two carts. My response was, that's not true. He responded, well your riding together. I say, because i'm getting a little annoyed at this point from his tone, well if you're going to be like that I'd prefer to not play. His response was, well I'm charging your card for the round. I say why, he says, you made the tee time. I say, whatever, I'll take the key.

It's Sunday, midday, not many carts left. I know the drill. Pair up.

I'm fine with it. Funny thing, the 3some was a twosome. One guy didn't show. He said to them, I wish you would have told me. Next time I'll have to charge you.

TIP: use some tact next time. It's simple. Try, we are a little short on carts right now, would you mind pairing up for your round? And if there is resistance, I'm sorry, this is what we need to do right now we have a lot of people on the course.

If they still aren't happy, then you offer them a refund because you obviously don't have to charge their card. You were just choosing to charge mine.

The feeling in that shop today made me angry from not only his customer service. But I feel like he treated me like crap because I looked a certain way. Its 2023, figure it out.

Fun holes. Super tough putting greens today. Forced you to be creative with puts due to pin locations. Little pricey for mediocre/ 3.7/5 course
