Middletown Country Club

About
Middletown Country Club has been one of Bucks County's major golfing destinations for more than a century. Originally designed as a nine-hole golf course in 1913 by Scottish architect Alexander Findlay, the second nine was added three years later. In the many years since opening, the golf course has undergone renovations by both George Fazio and Stephen Kay. This tough course is proof that a layout doesn't have to be 7,500-plus yards to be a challenge. Although the Middletown C.C. golf course plays to a seemingly modest yardage of 6,217 from the back tees, the rolling terrain provided by its location in the scenic Neshaminy Valley makes the course seem much longer. The small greens have plenty of undulations and you'll also be faced with a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. There are also towering trees looming above the fairways and water comes into play throughout the golf course as well.

Nice day on the course
We had a pleasant day at Middletown Golf Course today. The course was in good shape. We will definitely be back.

Not worth it
The greens were battlefields with sand traps on the greens. The course hasn’t been sprayed and gnats covered every hole from tee box to flag pole. Pace of play was waiting at tee box for 10 minutes every hole. Staff is friendly but the course was in poor condition. Huge waste of money.
Thank you playing our course, but what exactly would you like us to do about gnats?! They have been bad all year up and down the East Coast.

Ignore the trolls
Course in great shape very challenging. Want to test your golf game this is the place. Small undulating greens. Fairways are rolling and course knowledge a plus. To repeat ignore the babies who git their but whooped on a 6000 yard course

Challenging Course
Played here with my wife and a friend while in town for the Eagles game. Course layout was challenging with small greens and very deep rough. Very busy and spent a lot of time waiting but I expect that’s the norm for a course in a big city. We almost did not play here because of the review score but I am glad we did. The score is not an accurate gauge on how enjoyable the course was. Very nice and friendly staff. If we ever have the opportunity to come back we will for sure.

Good day for a round
Besides a lot of really challenging greens, the sloped fairways make you crazy when you hit a perfect tee shot too the middle of the fairway, then watch it roll sideways 20 yards into the rough. Miss a putt by a quarter inch, and watch the ball roll off the green. My scores are usually 10 strokes higher here , than any other course.

Conditions
Felt the conditions on the course were horrible this time around. Greens were aerated and no notification, tee boxes had high grass and one hole was modified with out any notification. Love the course previously, however this time around makes want to take the course out of the rotation for a year or two until conditions are playable again.

don't go right now
The course was half closed for greens maintenance (aero). Was supposed to have been done done earlieer in the week, but the claim was weather did not permit. Unfortunately there was no update posted. So half a course to play twice. It would not have mattered. Cart paths are in worst shape ever, the course was grown over everywhere. At one time $25 would have been a bargain. Yesterday $5 would have been to much. But it was empty.........????

Sky opened up with a cloudburst that flooded us right out of the3re after 11 holes. It was a disaster.
