About
Middletown Country Club has been one of Bucks County's major golfing destinations for more than a century. Originally designed as a nine-hole golf course in 1913 by Scottish architect Alexander Findlay, the second nine was added three years later. In the many years since opening, the golf course has undergone renovations by both George Fazio and Stephen Kay. This tough course is proof that a layout doesn't have to be 7,500-plus yards to be a challenge. Although the Middletown C.C. golf course plays to a seemingly modest yardage of 6,217 from the back tees, the rolling terrain provided by its location in the scenic Neshaminy Valley makes the course seem much longer. The small greens have plenty of undulations and you'll also be faced with a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. There are also towering trees looming above the fairways and water comes into play throughout the golf course as well.

Want a challenge
This course will challenge your game. Hills and rolling fairways will always give a test. Small but fast moving greens. The people who complain just can't handle the challenge, Great shape, two greens are a work in progress but roll fine. Staff is great and very knowledgeable. A true golfer will love this place

Under 4 hours
We finished this round in under 4 hours. We never had to wait to tee off and never had groups behind us pushing us to go faster. The course was in excellent condition. Just bring bug spray. There are a lot of nats around the tee box and greens.

They’ve let this place go
This is an old style golf course which is nice, but unfortunately they have let the rough grow so long that if you hit it in the rough you will not only not be able to get out of the rough you’ll probably lose your ball. Several of the greens were also in poor shape as where the bunkers..The pace of play was terrible, we left after completing 14 holes in four hours.The one bright spot is everybody that works at the golf course is very nice

No motivation to be good
Have never played here in under 5 hours. Starter was incompetent- we checked in, he gave us a snotty answer, and when we headed to the tee box for our time, he hollered at us and told us we had to check in with him first- we couldn’t just go up to the tee- as if we hadn’t just done that 5 minutes before.
Most of the course is in good shape, however 3 greens are literally unplayable with no grass, but they kept them open anyway. Most of the tee boxes are nothing but a sandbox- terrible. Doesn’t look like anyone collects the garbage either.
Upside- $40 with a cart is reasonable for this course, but expect good with bad.

Great challenge
Manicured fairways, tee boxes are clean. Greens smooth and quick. Some bunkers need work but a number were done recently. Always a good time don't let distance fool you

Tight course
Nice course. I didn’t like the fact some of the greens and tee box’s were on top of each other. Some tee box’s shared for different holes. Some of the greens need work on the back nine. One would have been easier to putt in the sand trap then the green. Over all I would play here again.

Good condition except for a few greens
I play Middletown 4 or 5 times a year. The course is fun to play and in very good condition except for a few greens, two of which are in very poor condition. Pace of play was great. We had two golfers in early AM and played in 3 hrs. Staff is always friendly.

Fun Course with Great Staff
I frequent this course more than others in the area and have a great time whenever I’m there. The grounds crew does a good job at keeping up with the unpredictable PA weather, and you can tell they’re consistently looking to improve wherever they can.
Everyone I’ve interacted with on the staff, from the bartender at the 19th hole to the pro in the pro shop, is welcoming and friendly. If you’re looking to get out and have a fun time with some friends, Middletown is a great spot to do that.

Worst golf course i have ever played.
Staff at hole 1 was very rude. The cart paths are filled with potholes and half the course has no cart paths. They schedule tee times too close together. We quit after 8 holes which took us over 2.5 hours to play. Will never go back nor recommend this course to anyone.

Bald greens
I have played here a few times. This was my first time this year. The course is not maintained well. More then half the greens are in bad shape. The course is very narrow. A lot of trees try to separate fairways. I hit the ball off the tee. It landed 25 yards from the hole which put me on another hole’s fairway. Not worth the money they want to play. I have to say the staff are very friendly. The course condition has gone downhill in the past few years.
