Middletown Country Club

About
Middletown Country Club has been one of Bucks County's major golfing destinations for more than a century. Originally designed as a nine-hole golf course in 1913 by Scottish architect Alexander Findlay, the second nine was added three years later. In the many years since opening, the golf course has undergone renovations by both George Fazio and Stephen Kay. This tough course is proof that a layout doesn't have to be 7,500-plus yards to be a challenge. Although the Middletown C.C. golf course plays to a seemingly modest yardage of 6,217 from the back tees, the rolling terrain provided by its location in the scenic Neshaminy Valley makes the course seem much longer. The small greens have plenty of undulations and you'll also be faced with a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. There are also towering trees looming above the fairways and water comes into play throughout the golf course as well.

If you wanna pay $60 for a course that looks like it hasn't been taken care of in 2 years then Middletown is your course. If you wanna wait 20 mins between each tee off door, then middle town is your course. If you want sprinklers to come on the greens as your hitting up, then middle town is your course.
This course is pathetic and is no better than juniata or fdr and it's a joke that we paid $60 on a Saturday.
You couldn't pay me to play this course again

Want to play again when the ball is rolling
Course knowledge is really helpful and we had none. Really like the course as the fairways were perfect. Since it rained most of the day on Friday the rough undoubtedly was not cut and it was difficult finding balls. The foursome in front of us were really bad and they topped it off by being slow too so the round was 45- 60 minutes longer than it had to be. Greens are sloped well and it sure pays to be below the hole. I think the course rating should be higher.

Course was in good condition.

Beautiful Course, Terrible Pace
Saw complaints about closed holes but everything was open for my round which was nice. Staff was nice and the course conditions were fantastic. The only downside was the 6 hour round. The starter told us we were in for 4 hours and 15 minutes of play but we were waiting for two whole groups to finish ahead of us before we could tee off. The snack bar at the turn is where 3 to 4 holes come together and can really back things up depending on how quickly they're moving.
Overall I definitely plan to come back I just hope the pace isn't as bad next time.

Challenging Course for First Tiners
Basically had a great day out on the course. Visible signs of improvements can be seen, but it really didn’t affect the quality of play. So rough patches on greens, still played very well. The course is very challenging as it is scenic, lots of ups and downs, hazards and low hanging trees and sneaky pin placements. Thoroughly enjoyed our time out there even if it wasn’t our best quality golf as a threesome, but we appreciated the challenge and we will definitely be back. Honestly, our first four holes were disastrous but we settled in very nicely the rest of the way. Probably the best stocked pro shop that I’ve seen on any courses that I played in the last two years as well kudos for that and the snack bar at the turnaround was open and stocked very well

Don't bother
For the price ur playing 2 closed holes, the greens are trash, fairways area garbage n tee boxes are even worse. Only way I'd play is for 30 bucks, otherwise way overpriced for what ur playing

Terrible
The tee boxes are bare, the fairways are bare in spots and the bunkers are terrible. The greens are unreadable and very spotted in some places, pitted too.

Work in progress
Great course design. Excellent staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. Course is worn and seems overplayed, but for early season you can see the work they are putting in. I expect to play here alot and would recommend.

After the frost delay.
There was about 1/2 hour frost delay and was expected this time of year. Started out chilly but warmed some after about 7 holes.. Greens seem to have been top dressed with sand - could not get a putt to roll straight without bouncing. It was a quick round in under 3 1/2 hours.
