Middletown Country Club

About
Middletown Country Club has been one of Bucks County's major golfing destinations for more than a century. Originally designed as a nine-hole golf course in 1913 by Scottish architect Alexander Findlay, the second nine was added three years later. In the many years since opening, the golf course has undergone renovations by both George Fazio and Stephen Kay. This tough course is proof that a layout doesn't have to be 7,500-plus yards to be a challenge. Although the Middletown C.C. golf course plays to a seemingly modest yardage of 6,217 from the back tees, the rolling terrain provided by its location in the scenic Neshaminy Valley makes the course seem much longer. The small greens have plenty of undulations and you'll also be faced with a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. There are also towering trees looming above the fairways and water comes into play throughout the golf course as well.

Worst golf course i have ever played.
Staff at hole 1 was very rude. The cart paths are filled with potholes and half the course has no cart paths. They schedule tee times too close together. We quit after 8 holes which took us over 2.5 hours to play. Will never go back nor recommend this course to anyone.
Bald greens
I have played here a few times. This was my first time this year. The course is not maintained well. More then half the greens are in bad shape. The course is very narrow. A lot of trees try to separate fairways. I hit the ball off the tee. It landed 25 yards from the hole which put me on another hole’s fairway. Not worth the money they want to play. I have to say the staff are very friendly. The course condition has gone downhill in the past few years.

Good course
First time playing here and really enjoyed it. I’m a beginner and I was able to still learn a lot and enjoy the pace of the round. It’s a well maintained course and It brings a good challenge.

Longest Golf day ever
I booked A 11:09am tee time, made sure to book a time the night before where no one was before or after us for tee times. Not only did We get there at 10:40 for an 11:09am tee time, we did not tee off untill about 11:37.
The worst part.......
We didn’t finish untill about 4:54 (over a 5 hour round) for a easy 4 hour par 70 course. All staff and Rangers are veterans or senior citizens. I dont Believe pace of play or your actual tee time matters at this place. I golfed On a Friday so i understand alittle back up but there was still open tee time slots. Hurry up and wait about 8-9 minutes after every hole was finished.

Good Course
Overall, I had a good experience. The course conditions were good, other than the fact that most of the ground was harder. The tee boxes made it hard to put the tee in the ground. The fairways were good, and most of the greens were in great shape. Good pace of play, and friendly staff.

If you wanna pay $60 for a course that looks like it hasn't been taken care of in 2 years then Middletown is your course. If you wanna wait 20 mins between each tee off door, then middle town is your course. If you want sprinklers to come on the greens as your hitting up, then middle town is your course.
This course is pathetic and is no better than juniata or fdr and it's a joke that we paid $60 on a Saturday.

Want to play again when the ball is rolling
Course knowledge is really helpful and we had none. Really like the course as the fairways were perfect. Since it rained most of the day on Friday the rough undoubtedly was not cut and it was difficult finding balls. The foursome in front of us were really bad and they topped it off by being slow too so the round was 45- 60 minutes longer than it had to be. Greens are sloped well and it sure pays to be below the hole. I think the course rating should be higher.

Beautiful Course, Terrible Pace
Saw complaints about closed holes but everything was open for my round which was nice. Staff was nice and the course conditions were fantastic. The only downside was the 6 hour round. The starter told us we were in for 4 hours and 15 minutes of play but we were waiting for two whole groups to finish ahead of us before we could tee off. The snack bar at the turn is where 3 to 4 holes come together and can really back things up depending on how quickly they're moving.
Overall I definitely plan to come back I just hope the pace isn't as bad next time.
