Middletown Country Club

So get to the course today pay my full rate then find out the greens are unplayable. The course decided to put down a huge amount of sand on the greens to where you couldn’t even putt. Also there is temp tee boxes that make par 4 now par 3s. To top that off the matts they put down are horrible so you have to tee off in the rough.

If you want to putt at the beach and loose about 800 yards from the score card from the white then this is the course for you.

By the way no heads up about conditions before you pay. All other courses give a discount when conditions are this bad.

We were the only ones at the golf course... the weather was so cold...

This course has too many hills. There's too few holes where you get a reasonably flat fairway.

They improved many of the cart paths.

We have played over 20 rounds there this year.

Staff at desk, rangers, bar and grounds very nice to deal with. Maureen, Bob, Jake, Ben all great folks.

Played in a charity outing in Sept and the course was in fantastic condition.

Highly recommend this course for a fun day with your golfing buddies.

Not too difficult for me…. I’m a newbie

Nice wide fairways!

Today we had a frost delay as expected. We get told to start going off when the sprinklers stop. There is 20 of us on the tee box all ready to go and as soon I go to tee off the grounds crew comes and starts blowing the tee boxes with a driving blower right at us. To top it off he is laughing. 77 dollars to play a course with two temp greens and sand traps for tee boxes is just crazy.

Bad conditions and rude staff is unacceptable.

Course has multiple blind shots, which makes it impossible to find your ball in the fall with so many leaves.

Plus course had hooligans who uses ATVs to tear up at least 4 greens to make turn unplayable. Was not offered a discount for the make shift holes. Aka spray paint circle with a flag in the middle

This course was very hilly compared to other courses I have played which made it even more of a challenge for me as a beginner. The course was in great shape, the staff was very helpful and everyone on the course that we ran into seem to be friendly. I will definitely play here again when I can dial in some of my skills a bit more.

The tee boxes were all horrible. No or dead grass and hard as a rock. Fairways were burnt with many patches. Greens very fast and slanted. U could tap the ball and it was off the green. Hit the ball 5 yards from the green the fairway was so brunt it rolled back 20 yards. Combine a droubt in the fall and no watering the course is a disaster. Workers are very friendly.

Greens are beautiful, fairways firm & fast, lots of bunker work (on 3,7,9,15) and bunched up tees are letting grass grow where needed. We all need rain.

I typically like playing Middletown when I can’t go anywhere else but I wish they would’ve told me some holes were under construction👎

Enjoyed this course, it’s a challenge for sure. The ground was hard as it’s not rained recently and it’s mountainous. Got a lot of bounce and roll.

Tee boxes were temporary and not in great shape. Fairways were in decent shape and so were the greens.

No cart service but the bar was open.

Pro shop staff was friendly and welcoming
