Middletown Country Club

About
Middletown Country Club has been one of Bucks County's major golfing destinations for more than a century. Originally designed as a nine-hole golf course in 1913 by Scottish architect Alexander Findlay, the second nine was added three years later. In the many years since opening, the golf course has undergone renovations by both George Fazio and Stephen Kay. This tough course is proof that a layout doesn't have to be 7,500-plus yards to be a challenge. Although the Middletown C.C. golf course plays to a seemingly modest yardage of 6,217 from the back tees, the rolling terrain provided by its location in the scenic Neshaminy Valley makes the course seem much longer. The small greens have plenty of undulations and you'll also be faced with a variety of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. There are also towering trees looming above the fairways and water comes into play throughout the golf course as well.

Very poor conditions at a very high price
I would pay $40 to play this course with a cart. The teeboxes and greens are amongst the worst I’ve ever seen. Leaving a negative review because a weekend tee time could cost upwards of $80 bucks and that’s a joke. Additionally, an Arnold Palmer spiked is $7 with also seems expensive

Decent value for money paid
Course would be really nice in the early season, but due to the time of the year that we were playing, a lot of the tee boxes / greens were in rough shape.

Middletown GC
Having played this course a handful of times my scores have improved as I gain course knowledge. The greens are in decent shape the tee boxes are hard and need help (water and seeding). With the limited rain the course is in pretty decent condition and I would recommend this course to anyone thinking about playing It.

Decent Course
Nice people, pretty good pace of play, great priced concessions, greens in decent shape, mixed terrain course which makes for a varied approach each hole & in general, a shorter course
Course needs more upkeep. Tee boxes are in pretty bad shape. Holes are bunched up on top of each other. Overall, not the best bang for buck --- still a great time.

Poor management
Booked a tee time for 18 holes off GolfNow and was being rushed off the course and told to bring it in at hole 16. Staff tried giving us a hard time and assuring we only booked for 9 holes even after showing proof (receipt) for 18 holes. Ruined the hole experience

Those reviewers must have been on another course. The greens are in very good condition and the complaint about the cart girl- not applicable -because instead there is snack hut (and bathrooms) at 5, 9 and 13.

Eh at best
Tee boxes looked like a back yard. Infected greens. Really confusing course layout for cart path. Not a flat lie on the entire course. Weird bounces all day, bunkers were concrete like the rest of the course. Turn house only takes cash. Bar and food off the course were very nice after the round. For the price not worth it. Will not be back.

Booking fee was never taken off the price
Staff in pro shop were rude. I showed them what I was supposed to pay at the course and they refused to correct the issue. I wanted to just walk away but they said if I did I would still be charged the full amount as a no show.
Ranger never made the group in front speed up play. Total round took just under 5 hours.
Starter wasn’t even on time. Showed up 30 minutes late and every tee time was backed up. So total round was actually almost 5 and a half hours.
Only saw the cart girl once and she barely had anything.
Probably won’t go back unless someone else is paying. Wouldn’t waste my money on that course again.
