The bunkers are unplayable for me because of the amount of rocks in them.I have 2 big gouges in my sand wedge from them and won't dare hit out of them again. It's ridiculous that a golf course as nice as this has such terrible bunkers and it's been that way for years.
Good course
This is a good course for the money. Challenging enough to be interesting but not frustrating. Normally in pretty good condition and typically the pace of play isn't bad. Not sure if it is because of Covid or not but I'm looking forward to the bar being re-opened.
Filling in Sand Traps
Course is still making changes to fill in sand traps and make them grass bunkers. Greens need to heal a little more from aeration. But, rest of course in decent condition. Snack bar still closed due to COVID restrictions.. Beer and soft drinks still available in pro shop though.
Great Layout
The course is in good shape, although there is a lot of over-seeding on just about every hole to reduce the size of the traps. The greens haven't completely healed from their spring aerification. Would like to see them repair the cart paths. Will definitely play again as I enjoy the layout and the surrounding scenery.
Nice fairways
Very nice golf course and amazing challenging layout. It seems like they are consistently improving and maintaining the golf course to satisfy their customers. I look forward to play there agian.
Great course
Royal Oaks is a great course for any level player. Forgiving open fairways with greens that will still challenge experienced golfers. Good pace and good condition. Will come back!
Great course
I am from Lancaster/Berks county and tend to play most of the courses closer to me. Royal Oaks is a good change of scenery, course layout, and conditions compared to most courses I play more frequently. Great value and a must play!
Fun, long course
Great conditions, pretty layout with some water holes, geese & ducks. Not so hilly like my home courses.
