good course to play against friends on
staff was great, let us start early. some greens needed attention but fairways and tee boxes were nice
Great recent improvements
Haven't played this course in a couple years since the greens died and the course fell off the charts. Course has improved tremendously and the greens were in great shape. Very few bald spots through fairways/greens and overall quality was great. Great course for a great value.
Gem of a course. Tucked away in a great area of Pennsylvania.
Well maintained course with very playable conditions. Greens are true and pin positions are fair. Clubhouse and Pro Shop were adequately stocked with anything needed for an enjoyable round.
Royal Oaks Never Disappoints!
I'm always pleasantly surprised to play Royal Oaks...month-to-month, they keep this course in really nice shape...one of the best tracks - and best values - in the S. Central PA region.
Was well maintained
Is a good course for the money, as I enjoyed playing here. I didn't find anything that stands out, but would play again.
Nice course with some tricky holes
This course probably should have been a 3.5 / 5, but I'll round up since there are no half-star ratings.
Overall, the course was in good shape, minus the sand traps. That said, there had been some rain the night before, so the traps being washed out is somewhat understandable.
This is a friendly course for golfers of all levels. There are quite a few holes that do not require drivers off the tee. I wouldn't say that there are any "stand-out" holes, but it is nonetheless worth playing for $25 or so.
Ok local course, but not worth a long drive!
Found this on golfnow had hesitations due to it always being listed at a fair price on weekends. Many things wrong, no drinking water on course at all, lacking proper signage for just about everything. Fairways need repairing, a few badly design holes. Ok for local playing however don't let the price fool you into making a long drive.
THIS IS A NICE OLD COURSE
THIS IS A GREAT COURSE FOR THE MONEY,THE COURSE HAS BEEN KEPT NICE.
Great layout !!
One of the best starting holes in our area. Great layout in general. Other than some maintenance issues (it is summer) just a fantastic course. Highly recommended
Nice layout with good fairways and fast greens
This is a great value course with an interesting layout. There's lots of water and waste bunkers to avoid. It was difficult finding the balls in the rough, but then we shouldn't be hitting our balls in there should we? My only real complaint is the concrete bunkers. They have not refurbished the sand in years. Great fairways and fast greens.
the course has some interesting holes
bunkers need work like sand insted of dirt, pace of play needs improvement, groups constantly hole, hole and half behind.
Very pleasant round of golf.
Wide fairways, no houses in play, a couple of holes with water in play, course overall was in excellent condition, we have tee time scheduled for today.
Course with nice county feel
Just across from Lebanon CC, this course has decent length from tips and nice greens.
.
We loved the course. Nice open fairways. Great course conditions. It was just a great relaxing course to play golf. My sons and their buddy also enjoyed the course. It was challenging with the Par 5's but it also allows you the opportunity to work on your short game. I will most definitely play here again.
Very nice course!
Really enjoyed this course. Will start to play here reguarly.
Greens are the best they have been
Great shape and quick greens. THe ball really rolled well
Well Worth the Dollar
I played on at 5pm on a Wednesday afternoon and didn't have to wait on a single hole. I played two balls (with a cart) on every hole and finished the round in 2 hours and 30 minutes. The course was green and the holes were challenging. Aside from hardly having any water on the course and Gatorade's costing 3 dollars, I couldn't find a flaw. For 24 bucks, this is a prime example of giving the customer more than what they paid for.
Nice course
The greens were fast but could use some attention. Plenty of risk reward tee shots that require control to keep out of thick ruff.
Ok fairways, terrible sand traps, green could use work...
Played this course on Memorial Day... Only place I could find a tee time and well I can see why! The staff was rude when we showed up for a tee time only 10 minutes in advance, due to traffic from Memorial Day parade in the town of Lebanon... The fairways are in decent shape, however the sand there could use a lot of work! You mind as well hit off the cart path... They haven't been raked and full of rocks and pebbles it was like hitting your ball off of pavement! Overall I don't think ill go back to this course.. For the price I can find plenty of course that are much nicer...
Solid course to play frequently
I always enjoy playing at Royal Oaks with my friends. There may not be a better value for the money in this area.
