Mediocre at best
Mediocre at best, no club access after you leave the first Teebox, no service on the course. Terrible facilities for women. 5 1/2 hours to play the course I think you have to do 5 miles of driving through the neighborhood roads
Front Nine?
The Greens on the Front Nine were damp, sluggish, bumpy, and extremely Slow...but I still love the course...
beautiful & challenging course
One of my favorite golf courses in the Poconos, very good condition & beautiful scenery.
Ready for prime time players
Not for the recreational golfer, stay in the middle or lose your ball from funky bounces off mogels. Longest course with great scenery.
great course
this is one hard course. you have to know this course to enjoy the place the first time it will clean out your golf balls bring extras. the course is in great shape tue it is 25.
Excellent course, worth playing
We played mid week and got an excellent rate, course was quiet so no waiting.we went round in three and half hours.
Take your camera for some pics of some stunning holes, unfortunately I didn't.
Well worth a visit.
Lots of Driving
By that title, I don't mean with a golf club. Played horrible but a lot of that has to do with not knowing course as it was my first time here. Very well kept golf course. Fairways are pristine even though I didn't find them much. Greens are slow, and inconsistent in feel. Some are soft and roll to a stop, where as others are hard and the ball will roll out. Rough is ROUGH. The grab your club head type version. That's how golf should be though so I'm not complaining. I just would need to play better aha
Scenic views and some challenging holes. Elevation changes are crazy! Overall, a great experience and I honestly had the most fun driving the cart!! Recommend to all!
VERY VERY NICE GOLF COURSE
Played on a Thursday, after the area received about 6 inches of rain in a big Tuesday night storm (Tornado watches, several torrents of rain overnight into Wednesday). Course does not drain well. We were informed of this, but still decided to play.
The course is under 6,000 yards, but plays longer even on a nice day, with the wet fairways, it played even longer.
STRICT TARGET GOLF. No getting up and blasting it, finding it 75 yards to the left or right, and hitting it again.
Views are beautiful. They will be GORGEOUS in October.
No danger of an errant shot striking you from another hole.
Cart paths meander through the development of nice homes, but there's really nowhere that a house infringes on the course. If you hit a house, you hit a ridiculously poor shot.
The cart ride, overall, has to be several miles. The course itself runs 3 1/2 miles, and there has to be at least that much driving between holes. Crack a beverage, the 12-oz. variety, between holes 16 & 17. I'll bet that you finish it between the two holes. Has to be a 1 mile ride between 16 & 17.
Still, a beautiful golf course - caveat is that is FAR from anything.
Nice course and nice conditions
Was really happy I finally played here. It's not a long course but it is very narrow and had small greens. Lot's of blind tee shots. I only hit my driver on 3 holes.
Tee boxes are very nice, fairways and greens were in nice shape. Well maintained overall.
Some holes have some great views.
Staff was nice and very friendly.
Will play this again and will save some shots now that I know the course a little better.
Beautiful view
You can not be on a time crunch as the holes are very far apart. It was not busy day we played so no wait. Some spectacular views. Front nine is in housing development but back nine is all woods. Front nine is tight also.
One of the Best
Another superb outing at one of my favorite courses. Has always in great shape and is like a good friend we visit time and again. Memorable holes despite my forgettable golf. : )
Must play
Very challenging and scenic. Bring extra golf balls!
Not bad for a Holiday
This was my 1st time at this course. I started as a single but paired up. Absolutely no wait time, it truly felt like we had the course to ourselves. Some of the tee boxes were in rough shape, but it did not hamper play one bit. Only disappointing thing was on the 17th hole there is a beautiful flag pole coming up the hill before you tee off, but no flag was flying on MEMORIAL DAY. I just thought that was a shame. Overall i got a great value on a beautiful day and would love to play it again another day.
Crazy Layout
We had a great time practicing on the course. We arrived in the parking lot to find only 3 cars in the parking lot. The course was completely empty on a Saturday afternoon. The course winds through a huge development, many of the holes are right next to houses. Some holes have 500 to 600 yards of driving between holes. You have to follow arrows and signs the whole time from hole to hole. Overall my son and I had a great time.
This course has great view and layout.
I love this course.
The view of the course was terrific.
However, the conditions of fairways and tee box were not good compared with last year.
They need to be improved.
Not a good choice for the first round of the year
My two playing partners had not touched a golf club for a while, so the forced carries on several holes led to lost balls. The scorecard should say if there is a drop area, as it was not always obvious from the hole layout. A tight course where you don't need your driver for pretty much the front nine.
/a few blind shots, and an unexpected uphill green made for an interesting and sometimes frustrating day, I felt like we were really dragging (my partners were a little deliberate with their practice swings) but we finished in 4.5 hours, and that includes the very lengthy drives between holes. VERY LENGTHY.
Some very pretty views for pictures, on long holes and par threes.
I would consider trying this course again, but only after playing other courses in the area for more experience.
John berghoefer
this course ranks amongst the most challenging course in the Poconos, in my opinion. I was by friends that I would not like the course, because, of the insane driving distance between holes. While the there was great distance between tee boxes, the scenic vistas that were opened up because of the drive made those distances worth it.
The greens were slow due to heavy rain and snow flurries the night prior, but overall they were in great shape.
Every hole poses its own unique set of challenges.
I will definitely play this course again, you should too.
Mountain type course
Enjoyed the course very much. There are a number of exceptional holes with spectacular views. There are a few non-exceptional holes, 18 was disappointing, seeming like it had a long season. Conditions were overall good. Greens were furry and needed a shave. Not a course to walk. Lots of long drives between some holes. One ride might have been a half mile. A number of challenging holes and layouts. If your one who believes golf is suppose to be fair, go somewhere else. Had fun, will be back.
fun course and road warrior cart driving
fun course tee to green great elevation changes with some forced carries distance from green to next tee is crazy thru the development! worth the ride on route 80 from eastern new jersey on Tuesday for $25
