Spectacular views
I love this place except for the distance u hv to drive to get to the next tee. And make sure u carry enough food and drinks since u won't find anything till u get back to the club house after a 10 mile drive .overall great and it will be great if they have a food cart some where.
Driving Golf
Was a good course , but spread out too much. Had to drive the golf cart sometimes 2-4 minutes to get to next hole. Could never walk it. But overall nice course. Would play it again. Oh, do not forget bug spray. Course is in a marshy wetland , and plenty of bugs.
ccp
weather was great the course was in good shape no cart for refreshments
Early Season Play
Another few weeks and this course will be beautiful. Must ride a cart as the holes are spread out and the hills make for challenging, difficult terrain. I had a nice day and enjoy the course.
Pocono country club
First time playing this course and it was beautiful, greens, tee boxes and fairways all immaculate and in great shape for the time of year.
A little to much hitting between condos for my skill level and comfort, but would play here again. Just wish they were staying open later
In the year, the guy at the end of the day said they would normally be open later but that they were getting new carts in the spring and the old ones
were being picked up the next day as to not have to store them over the winter. Don't think that you can walk this course, although I suppose you could but you will walk about ten miles by the time you are done. Overall great challenging course.
Not long but fun to play and better hit fairways
This course has some great holes and must use your head when you play here. It is a thinking mans course and not for the let it rip type golfer
Beautiful Course
A beautiful and interesting course. A little on the short side, which is great for an average golfer like myself. Many picturesque holes that have unique challenges to them. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed a great round.
Beautiful scenic course
I was on the course with my wife played in 3:15 beautiful mountain views holes are spaced out pretty far though over 10 mile drive on the cart but well worth it
Quality Golf Course
Tight course which requires a lot of shot making. Each hole is separated by woods and homes within the development so you may not even see other golfers. Played first week of November and course was in great shape, sand traps were hard. Great price through GolfNow so was well worth it. 4 hour round.
Fun to play
No Food just golf. Can not walk this course, you drive through the development to get to different holes.
Great views on some holes. Not a real easy course to play. Should play the back Tees.
CC of the Poconos
Course was in good condition, pace is hindered by long rides between greens and the next Tee box. Usually we play in 4 hours as foursome, because of all the riding between holes it took us 5 hours.
Difficult
Course was way to difficult with banked fairways, long carries over waste areas and a lack of flatten fairways to hit from. Every shot required some shaping which is not in a 15 and over handicappers bag.
Long drives between holes and a few on primary roads through the development, which was not safe, especially if not familiar with the course created a lack of attention to the game and focus on where your ball landed.
Course was in great condition but not for those in less than good physical shape as greens were often far from the paths and tee boxes were elevated to where carts could not travel.
Golf at its best
This is a fantastic course. Each hole is in a separate wooded area and different. Excellent condition, good facilities , very friendly staff a great place to play.
Pace of play
Course and conditions were great, however the pace of play was extremely slow. Took my son and myself five hours to complete a round. Really should have ranger out there monitoring pace of play. Was very fustraigjting trying to get into a groove, otherwise was a great day with my son
This is NO Country Club
This course layout is awful and is not of "Country Club" status and there is no food on the premises. Not worth paying to play here.
Beautiful course
Great course, challenging holes, must stay in fairways but lots of fun & beautiful views!
Pro shop had bad attitude
First time at course which is visually pleasant. Pro shop attendant was not friendly at all seemed annoyed that we had golf caddy offer. Acted like he did us a favor. Cart attendant was friendly and should teach pro shop how to interact with customers. Back nine was aerated with no mention prior.
Very scenic challenging course
The course was in great shape. The staff at CC of Poconos is very friendly and accommodating. It was a fun day.
Beautiful Area
Great course in a beautiful area of the Poconos. Course was in great shape. Long ride in between holes. Loved looking around at all the beautiful houses but be careful and follow all the arrows so don't loose your way.
Pros and Cons. Cons outweighted Pros
Pro's: course was in pretty good shape. Greens were very slow, looked like they could use a good mowing. I got out as a single and played the front nine quickly although caught up to some groups on the back 9 and things bogged down considerably. The staff was friendly and the weekday price of $50 including cart seems reasonable enough.
Con's: Yes, I'm a high handicapper and the course was difficult for me. But I've enjoyed both challenging courses and "mountain" courses before and just couldn't enjoy this one. I thought the design of some (many) of the holes was just poor. Elevation changes to the extreme. Holes wedged in where holes shouldn't be (6th). Aside from the actual poor design of holes the routing of the course (5 mile drive between holes including on residential streets) is just absurd. Was the design intent to construct a good golf course or to "show off" the neighborhood and sell homes. Finally, no services (water, food or clubhouse access after 9 holes) is annoying.
Bottom line: if you live in the development it maybe nice to play here, but I wouldn't drive from anywhere else to play this course. I wanted to play Shawnee or Mt Airy but those courses were booked and CC of Poconos was totally available. Now I know why. I would also recommend Jack Frost as a much better alternative.
