10, the par four drop hole is great. You will want to rip away at the drive but keep it left!

Course in good condition
Everything was well maintained , but play was pretty slow.
i liked it.
course was perfect for our ride home. enjoyed the planes overhead and the river views.
Good Scoring Course
I've played this course a number of times and usually score pretty good here. I was playing very well on the front 9 but my neck issues didn't hold up and the pain reduced my back 9 to a sub par finish.
It is a rolling course with usually big greens. The greens are average speed and not overly hard to read. I tend to hurry too much and not study the subtle breaks enough to pick them all up.
Number 10 is a beautiful hold that goes straight down and dog legs at the end to the right. A very strong drive has a chance to clear the trees and reach the green (or near it). Number 13 goes straight up the hill, usually into a breeze making it a long hole to an elevated greens where balls are hard to stop. Number two is very long but doesn't seem to play as long as the card indicates if your drive gets to the top of the hill looking down at the green.
sunset golf course review
one of the nicest courses I have played for the cost of the round. The course is well maintained and the greens are excellent! It was well worth the trip out there, and the staff is super friendly.
Great
Course was in great shape, very well maintained. You can tell the grounds crew care about the course. Back 9 was still a little wet from rain the previous night so cart path only on back. Other than that, perfect.
Easy course yet interesting holes
As seniors, we played the gold tees. The course was great condition. For us short ball strikers, most of the holes were within reach in regulation. Variety of different holes with several with elevation changes. The course is located in view of the Susquehanna River and many great vistas. Only big downside is that the course is on the landing path of airplanes landing at Harrisburg Intl. Airport.
nice views & value
Unique views of TMI power plant & HIA airport.
Planes fly overhead frequently.
Great elevated tee shot on 10th hole.
Greens in great condition.
Nice course, lots of different shots to make
It's one of the nicer courses for the price in the overall area. It's interesting, especially on the green on hole 1 when the planes are landing at MDT, since it's right up the hill from the airport. I had to stop from putting once because a C-130 was landing right over top us. Some may find that annoying, but it doesn't happen often, and one can appreciate that you don't see that too often anyway, so I think it's kinda cool. I like how the front 9 and the back 9 are almost 2 completely different style courses. One plays up high on the hill and the other down lower with water in play. Rough was VERY thick, almost lost a few that were barely off the fairway, but I blame that on the few days of rain prior to our play. They prolly couldn't get out to mow it as much due to that. Greens rolled true and the tee boxes were in nice shape as well. Very nice overall!
Great views, greens are great
The greens were the best I have seen them for this time of the year. Overlooks the Middletown and the airport and has great views of the squehanna river.
Good local course for practice
I wouldn't go here to impress your friends, don't get me wrong, this course is great to hang out with a buddy and whack the white ball. It's just not going to compare to a country club. Greens fees are around 20-25 bucks so it's going to be easy on the wallet.
Hole 10 is my favorite, you're hitting over cliff down onto the fairway below. I've play here about a dozen times a year, it's my go to course when I want to keep tuned up on my game.
This course is NOT challenging, if you want a tough course go to Hershey Links or Dauphin Highlands.
Sunset GC is an interesting course with a great view
Sunset has many interesting holes and the view from the 1st green over the Susquehanna is amazing. The planes coming into land at Harrisburg Airport fly directly overhead and adds to the experience.
well kept greens and fairways
The staff was nice but they were confused about their relationship with golfnow. They thought I should have paid the greens fees and cart fee at the course, not online. They were nice about it but there is definitely some confusion. The course played well, even though the weather was not great. I would come back again.
