This is a great time of year to play and to play this course. The greens are in great condition, the rough was a little high due to the amount of rain the previous two days but overall the course is in great shape. The staff is very friendly and on Fridays you get a hotdog, drink and chips at the turn or whenever you stop in at the clubhouse.
Nice course, great shape
They take very good care of the course. The layout provides some challenges.
Slowest Game I've Played Here
I play Meadowink several times a month; it's my favorite course in Pittsburgh. But for some reason, the last outing was uncharacteristically slow. I was playing alone and the round took 5 hours, there were back-ups at every hole. Not a great experience. Great course, but I hope this was just a one time thing.
Nice day
Wife and I spent a pleasant Labor Day got paired up with two guys. We all had a great time together. Nice course to play.
good course for the money
I played 9 holes for practice but I have played 18 holes there many times. This course is always in good shape and managed well.I recommend it.
The course was in great shape.
The course was in great shape, both fairways and greens.
How to enjoy golf
Play at Meadowink. Very enjoyable and besides everyone at the course super friendly. I teamed up with a couple guys and we had a great time and enjoyed golf.
Hit 'em straight
Meadowink is a tough golf course with trees in play on many holes, some blind tee shots, and smaller greens. Had a couple younger golfers that struggled a bit. We played it with a "hot deal."
Course was in good shape. Greens though were really slow. Seemed as if they hadn't been cut in a while.
Not a course I would normally play and I can't say I'd get back here anytime soon...hot deal or not. Had to be out this way so we played here.
GREAT PLACE TOO SPEND YOUR TIME
This course is very challenging and very beautiful. You will enjoy your golf and all this course has too offer.
The staff are the best and they will assist you any way they can. The restaurant/bar is a great place before, during and after your round.
I suggest you come and see for yourself and you will agree with me.
Challenging but still good for occasional golfers
This is a great course and my 3rd time playing it so far. Even with all the rain the night before, it was still in prime condition. It has a great layout for all levels of play from beginner to expert, and was a very casual pace. The fairways and greens are in great shape. Tricky to read the greens at times, but most are still easy enough that you can two putt your way through. I will definitely come back again!
Slowest Round Ever
Meadowink is a nice enough course with nice enough staff - I like to play it a few times a year. We booked a 1:22pm Hot Deal on GolfNow. Turns out they booked us right behind an outing...of the worst golfers in Western PA. No one likes a 5 1/2 hour round! The kicker to the round was waiting forever on he 16th tee box to hit because the group of duffers waiting 250 yards out on a par 5 (who hadn't hit a 200 yard shot all day), followed by a ranger driving up the middle of the fairway at us in slow motion...to pickup the hole sponsorship sign on our tee box...then asking if pace of play was slow. Incredible.
Great Golf Course
This was our 5th time at Meadowwink. As the last 4 times it was in great shape and was so nice to play. The grenns were just a little fast but the fairways were in excellent condition. My buddy and I will be back to play again.
