The Inn At Pocono Manor - East Course
About
The Inn at Pocono Manor offers two championship golf courses, conveniently located less than two hours from New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. Surrounded by the beauty of the Poconos, the inn has earned a spot on the National Registry of Historic Places. George Fazio designed the West Course, and the East Course was Donald Ross' creation. The East Course, the original layout, has hosted a number of legendary players, including Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead, since 1912. Ross carefully sculpted the mountainous landscape to create a course that is both challenging and memorable. It is shorter and tighter than the other course but they are equal in level of difficulty. The golf course is defined by the interesting water hazards that come into play on several holes, but the scenic views are also a draw.

5 Hour Monday midday round
Teed off at 11:30 and finished at 4:30 on a non holiday Monday. Waited on every tee box. My wife and I like this course but 5 hours is a long time for a non weekend round of golf.
Very nice course
The course is in very good shape.the staff was friendly and the started went above and beyond especially considering it was our first time. He offered great advice and direction on what to look for and how to attack the course. Even had a hand out giving guidance on the uniqueness of the course. Had a great time and would definitely recommend this course to friends.
Worth the Trip
I make this 75 mile journey once or twice each year. The course & greens were in great shape. Layout of course is beautiful. Everyone from the starter to the inside staff is kind & helpful. We will continue to do this every year
Pocono Manor
We were greeted nicely by a starter, but there was confusion as to who is starting at what time. The two people in front of us should not have been on a golf course. There was no Ranger overseeing anything. The carp are an atrocious condition. Of course itself was quite challenging. I think they are probably better places in the area.
Nice course but we experienced slow play and no course ranger.
A nice golf course in a nice location. However, this course needs to invest in a ranger to speed up slow play.
A fair, fun course
With the exception of some unthinkably quick greens (3,4,6, 10, 11, 15) it’s a good course for scoring, even with numerous blind shots. All the par 3’s are gettable. Play it when you’re in the area.
Pros outweigh cons
Course has several unusual holes to say the least. The staff works endlessly to maintain this century, old Golf Course. The staff is exceptional, but the amenities are lacking and the question is why. A beautiful building next to the pro shop go’s unused. We enjoy playing the course at least 10-12 times a year. The cons are lack of watering, hard fairways( in spots), golf etiquette ( it just not here) , lack of sand in bunkers. That said we will probably play several more times.
Friendly neighborhood course
Friendly except when it gets as windy as it got yesterday. The ball wouldn’t even stay in the greens. Sure made for an interesting round !!
