Great February day!
Great day at the course, almost like Florida, lol.
Could not be any better for that prcie
Played on a rainy day, the staff was super friendly, informative, and the course was IMMACULATE. Great pricing on food too. We were fairly alone out there, so our pace might not be typical but for the price, the course condition, the layout, and gps carts with a snack bar, it couldn’t be better. My new favorite course
Nice place if you ignore the grumpy ranger
We were enjoying our round of golf and didn’t even mind waiting for our shots until a ranger felt the need to tell us we needed to speed up. He must have only assumed we were behind because we had two female and two male golfers and like all chauvinists felt the need to scold our foursome. I guess he did not realize that we were up the butts of the foursome of men ahead of us waiting on just about every shot and had a hole behind us where their was another foursome of men. I thought in 2022 we wouldn’t have to deal with this anymore but I guess not. Hopefully if we ever play there again, the ranger knows what he’s talking about before he speaks.
5 stars
Absolutely stunning course, and very well maintained to boot. The fairways were perfectly maintained, greens were recently aerated and the rough edges were at the right place to be challenging but not overly difficult. Gorgeous day, lush grass and a beautiful fall backdrop. Holes were nicely spaced out and not a single hole felt forced in to place. I thought the front nine was amazing and then we played the back nine. It kept getting better and better. Who ever designed this course did a truly amazing job. GPS on all carts was a nice and surprising bonus. You certainly will not be disappointed with this course. The only bad thing is that a first timer/ or new golfer will become spoiled. Once you play this course you will not want to play anywhere else.
Tanglewood is so much fun to play!
The course was in fantastic shape! Morning play was delayed by a frost, but everything worked out just fine.
Had a great round with a twosome from Maryland that we had not met before.
Tight course
Nice course but tight fairways. If you slice or hook you’ll be in the other fairway. Half the course had cart path only which slows up pace especially if you’re far from path
Hot, hot summer
I love playing Tangelwood, but unfortunately the conditions have slipped over this summer. It’s still a good course, and the people who work there make you feel welcome.
Cost Benefit Ratio - that’s what I’m talking about
Excellent cost benefit ratio - greens in great shape, fairways good, tee boxes spotty but generally good. Pace for Saturday at noon was 2:20 pretty good with full parking lot. Very good 5 dollar lunch deal. Staff excellent. Will be back.
Tanglewood golf course
Unfortunately, this was a case for The good, the bad and the ugly.
The Good- greens were immaculate, clean, rolled at a medium speed. The bright point of the day.
The Bad- tee boxes were average but playable
The ugly- many fairways were burnt out very badly.
Overall, I like the course layout, the staff was very friendly and amenities were good. The fairways left me wondering if the price to play was worth it under those conditions. I hope they can figure that out
Terrible condition
Looks like I’m doing the maintenance here, tee boxes horrible fairways horrific as well.
Great courses in southern Lancaster County
Really fun layout for all skill levels. Staff is always friendly and probably the best value lunch special at the turn that’s out there.
Glad l Came Back
I had not been back here to play for years. What a surprise when I arrived! The course and clubhouse have been revamped and could not believe how well the course was maintained. I truly enjoyed each hole and the quality of the greens! Staff was friendly and hospitable! They truly want you to have an A level experience. I could not rate the restaurant because it was closed due to preparations for an event later that day.
4th of July Weekend
First of all $5 per round this weekend was being donated, how cool is that. Course always plays well and is a fun track. Lack of rain lately caused some burnt spots but nothing that effected the game. Pace of play, apparently the 4 old dudes don’t have a weather app and didn’t realize that a storm was coming which was frustrating as their pre shot routines didn’t speed up even when thunder was in the distance, hit over them on 18 as the horn blew as a nasty storm rolled in, get rid of the flip phone’s guys and realize that some of us don’t want to sit in the clubhouse for a hour as they left their balls on the 18th green. Otherwise this is a great course.
