Chapel Hill Golf Course

I was a member at this course for several years, until i moved out of the area. I enjoyed it here, had a nice relaxed attitude, greens were always nice. The rest of the course was usually in excellent shape earlier in the season, then it would sometimes burn out it a bit, and then was nice in in the fall and winter. The drainage is not the greatest so if it's been rainy, this place will be very wet and cart path only. But if you've had a few nice days, it's very pleasant.. The front nine is pretty short but it crosses a bunch of hazards so there is a lot of strategy involved. The back 9 is more difficult, with the hazards mostly on the sides. Every hole on the back has OB left. The course is a fun challenge, way more difficult than you'd expect from the back tees, and if you're hitting it sideways you'll lose a few.

I live close to the golf course and generally decide to play at the spur of the moment. Chapel Hill is good for this as during the week getting on is usually no problem. There is a good mix of holes. Some with tight fairways and others wide open. With the amount of woods and water it is easy to lose balls which makes club and shot selection important. The fairways and greens are in good shape most of the time. Some of the cart paths could use some work but the gold is good

Simpler layout with some uncertain water on the front nine. Very nice greens and despite three days of rain that required cart path only, it was very playable. Great value and will play again

green speed varied significantly throughout the round. I do think the holes are interesting Like to play Chapel Hill several times a season.

What a way to forget about the elections! Cloudless 68 degree day and no wind! Priceless! Course in great shape for beginning of Nov.

Greens are always fast and the course always looks good.

Fun course and great price. Usually well maintained and doesn't seem to get backed up during the week.

Very nice course especially for the money. Pace of play was great. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Frost delay could have been alleviated by starting some off back nine. Horrible cart paths. Oil leak on some greens on back nine. Much better local courses for the price.

The course was nice for this time of year, and the greens were some of the best in the county. We had a lot of fun playing this course, a good mix of challenging holes but also wide open ones you can drive on. For reference I usually play RCC, Flying Hills, Willow Hollow, Club at Shannondell as most frequent courses.

While the course quality was pretty mediocre overall the greens were great. I probably won’t go back on a weekend ever though, it took over 5 hours to play a round of 18. It truly did become painful, we even paired with the two gentlemen behind us and at one point had two more pairs and us all at a tee box waiting to go. Need to spread out the tee times more, luckily we had a beautiful day to be outside.

Enjoyed playing here at this course, which had a scenic layout amongst the trees, water and the mountains. It really had some good challenging and interesting holes with alot of turns. I shall definitely return here again.

This golf course is horrendous. Fairways are garbage. The entire course is rough. Tee boxes are all dead. Cart paths are destroyed. No type of organization when it comes to grouping. Nobody controlling pace I’d play. Cart seats are all ripped and destroyed. Greens are extremely fast.

They honestly have nerve charging 45 dollars to play here. Worst golf course I have ever played. Don’t play here. Go play virtual golf before you decide to play here.

The course is in horrible shape. I will not play again. Crabgrass everywhere. Hard to tell what is fairway and what is rough. Greens were only thing decent about the course. Some fairways you have to search for grass.

Either 3rd or 4th time playing here and have always enjoyed the course. Not too crowded during the week and offers a slew of challenges; a lot of them are water hazards. I would rate the course as slightly above average for the mid-level golf player.

Honestly, I was very excited to play and it was beautiful weather outside but it will be a long time or never before I play there again. The course is not in great condition with a ton of crab grass and unkempt sand traps. But the worst thing was pace of play. They really needed someone on the course to keep the golfers moving. What would normally have been a 3 or 4 hour round turned into almost 6 hours of waiting and then more waiting. I would not recommend this course to anyone!
