About
Northampton Valley Country Club, proudly owned by Northampton Township, the golf course first opened in 1963. It is well known among locals as one of the Greater Philadelphia area's best courses. The layout has a classic design with tree-lined fairways and gently sloped greens. Several strategically placed bunkers lurk along the greens and there are a few water hazards that come into play as well. The par-70 golf course is a manageable 6,400 yards from the back tees. It's a traditional design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels but there are risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to low handicappers. In addition to the golf course, Northampton Valley has a driving range with new range balls which is open to the public and a 10,000 sq. ft. practice green with a pristine sand trap for patrons to work on their short game.

Fun course
Very fun course, great layout. Awesome Par 5 on the back 9, great finishing long Par 3 over water.
Will be real nice when renovations are complete
Played a mid February, winter round , here this weekend and the course played well despite being under a major renovation. This course, when complete, will be a really fun track and it plays longer than the yardage, making it very challenging. We were pleased with our round, full knowing that we were playing golf in the north in the winter.
Winter Golf
Good round in February. A little expensive for a round in the Winter.
Very fast round
Didn't know the guy I was supposed to play with went off by himself. The starter said I could catch him as he was up on the first green. So I teed off and in 18 holes didn't catch him but I finished 18 at about 2 hours and 35 minutes. Other than playing a par 3 "Executive " course ( all par threes) fastest round I ever played. Weather was chiilly not really COLD.

mismanaged
It took a neighboring township a couple years to figure out that they didn't know how to manage and run a golf course. Northamption Township hasn't figured it out yet. Removing bunkers is not a bad thing unless it is done haphazardly which is the case here. Same with altering fairway cuts. They did a nice job of fixing a water erosion issue but that's it. This course hasn't been touched or upgraded in many years and for starters all the bunkers need redone and upgraded. Just putting sand in them doesn't cut it...when they do put sand in them. Senior and forward tee placements need reevaluated and a combo tee course would be a nice touch that many other courses have. The entire course needs rerated. The bottom line? Get some people in there who know how to run a golf course, not just cut grass and collect greens fees.
Great layout and great greens
The layout flows very nicely, with a good mix of short and long par 4's. There are several holes with beautiful ponds. The greens are large and have plenty of slope. The greens were in decent shape. Unfortunately, they haven't spent the money necessary to make their many bunkers playable. When they do that, it will be a great place to play.
Frost delay hurt for a 1.5 hour delay but course in good shape for November
