Great place to wait out the rain Photo submitted by uHXPT3392HX on 07/31/2016
Nice public course, packed on weekends
I have played here quite a few times, mostly weekdays. The last round played, there were many golfers and while our pace of play was quick we were bogged down with multiple groups waiting in front and behind us, which was stressful. No rangers came through to moderate groups.
The greens are very slow. A lot of gimmicky holes needed for tight layout they have to work with. Staff was friendly but didn’t take close enough care on correctly spacing out tee times. Had to deal with multiple backups from groups of more than 4, which is not how a public course should handle itself.
Spring Hollow
The course is fair for beginners. The pace of play was really slow. The was in good condition. The greens were slow and the pin placement were tricky. But it is a good practice course for someone like me just starting the game but is getting better and better every time out. I would recommend it to any beginner level players.
Nice Sunday round
Very challenging up and down course, the fairways and greens were like carpet. Well maintained but definitely difficult. Bar is affordable and staff is extremely friendly even let us go out early. Brand new carts which were luxurious and comfortable. Great afternoon, great course, great staff. For $50 hot deal couldn’t beat it.
US open rough
Course was in great shape but the rough is to high and thick, makes the course too tough for the average golfer and not a fun day, lost 2 balls just off the fairway
Rainy day delight
Everything about this course was wonderful. From bag drop at the gate to the friendly staff in the pro shop and gorgeous course conditions. Great people on the pristine course with affordable beer and great cheese steaks and glizzies at the turn. Pace was slowed only by the rain but plenty of shelter on the course with well maintained carts. For $72 for 18 with cart was a great deal for this challenging tricky little track. Can’t wait to go back. Shot a 109 was hoping to break 90…tricky. A lot of fun and challenging holes, true paced well maintained greens. Beautiful course
Must Play
If you have never played this course, it is worth playing. Some short holes require accurate shots, which can result in going low or high if you miss your landing areas. You definitely need to play this course with someone who has played before, or you'll need to play a second time to shoot a low score.
