Round on 10/30/14
This is a public golf course. The Township, staff and groundskeeper's do a very good job. The condition of the course has steadily improved!
Fair for money
Course was nice, not great. It's a community course so if you're expecting top notch conditions, you'll be disappointed. You will use every club in your bag here even if you play well. The fairways are smallish but the greens are generally open and play well. I will play here again.
short course, with some tough but slow greens
Well maintained, made record time for round. Cart girl and was being patrolled by a ranger which was good with little people on the course they could not have cared, but did.
Amazing views and fast play
This course was worth the drive from NJ. The views at this course are amazing. Some of the tee boxes and fairways needed some work but the greens were in great shape. The holes are very unique and fun for all skill levels. All in all great course with a fun layout.
Great course, minor flaws
Well figuring I shot my best round ever 88, I am pretty pleased with this course. Minor flaws are sometimes the cart paths are not taken care of, and the course had some minor spots that needed to be taken care of. This course is a bit of a drive for me, but for the cost/value, I hope to be a regular for a couple years. :) hope to see you out there!

P.s. I'll be the one in the woods looking for my ball.
After the flood
Just 2 days after 5-6 inches of rain, I can't complain about the conditions of this course. Low areas wet of course, but most fairways were just soft. The greens were slow and wet as expected. Shot a personal best on this course by avoiding hazards. Its a fun shorter course that with a little course management you can score well. Overall a nice 3 1/2 hour outing.
Love this course
Not the longest course yet not to shortest. Very challenging layout. I've played at least a dozen times and never had a bad experience with staff or pace of play. Great track. One of my favorites.
It is what it is...
The course is a short muni that is generally keep in pretty decent shape. If its no frills and low cost that you are looking for, play here. If you are expecting more, move along.
In terms of the course layout, I find some if the front nine to be a bit "gimmickie" in design and especially number 10, a 100 yard par 3 that is probably 60 ft down hill. I generally end up on the backside of the green with a 60 wedge. Otherwise, the back nine is a decent play.
Decent time in coatesville
I chose this course because it was only eleven dollars. For that price it was far and away worth it. Usually everyone who plays there is very considerate and makes for nice accommodation for different paces.
fun course, quick pace
This course deserves a strong 3 star rating. There is not anything terribly wrong with the place, the greens and Tee boxes are well maintained, and for the most part the fairways are acceptable with slight area of dirt. The downside is the small and for the most part unchallenging layout.
For a weekday riding afternoon price of 33, the cost seems about right. 5100 yards from the blue tees makes the course fun, but again not terribly challenging. There are a few interesting holes however, so the course is by no means boring.
All in all, the maintenance is good which is the most important, and the course is fun to play so I will be back.
Great Shape for this time of year
Course played excellent. Fairways were in great shape, especially in comparison to some other courses this time of year. Overall this course is pretty short, with 6 par 3's, a par 5 you can reach in 2 and 2 par 4's that(if you're straight) you can drive the green. The greens themselves played beautifully, with challenging undulations and height changes. Almost every green had pretty significant break in it. Will be playing this course again.
Nice Little Course
This course is one of my favorites. Its a short course but has some challenging holes nonetheless. I have played it roughly 10 times in the past year alone. They usually run some great afternoon hot deals that make it well worth getting out.
I played yesterday with my friend & wife. The course was in great shape. The greens and fairways were very well maintained. I was expecting the course to be pretty soggy considering all the rain we got Saturday night but it drained pretty well by our 2:00pm tee time. The pace of play was excellent. I am not sure if the course was just empty because most people were home watching football or what but we teed off at 2 & were in the car ride home by 5:40. And we are not great golfers by any stretch. I am about a 13 handicap,my friend is a 20+ and my wife just started playing this year so we were hitting our fair share of shanks. The course has a little vintage feel to it & I like that.
Overall I would recommend this course to anyone. It is not a long course, so if you are looking to boom it down the fairway--you won't get the chance too often here. Its more for accurate shot placement in lieu of distance. But for the hot deal prices they are usually always running, it is definitely worth a play.
No crowds. Great staff.
I am not an experienced golfer. For my son and I this was a great course. I will be back.
Interesting back 9
The back 9 holes are interesting enough to keep playing, some of the greens need real attention ..for example hole-10.. Full of leaves on the green...
Hole-15.. Full of birds and their left overs
well maintained compared to others this summer
There was grass, and a lot of it! So many of the courses I've played this summer in the area have had trouble with the rains, so the fairways are all eaten up, and the greens in shoddy shape. Ingleside has a few bare patches here and there, but I had no balls lie on dirt my whole game. That was a nice change! So well maintained.
You Will use Every Club in Your Bag...FUN!
Ingleside has always been a "Staple" must play course for me. It only has 2 par 5's...BUT they are wonderful as you can't see either green from the tee boxes, and take 3 Good shots to get on the greens. All the par 3's are very challenging, and keep your "approach" game tuned up. The par 4's will use most of the clubs in your bag. I have played Every course in Chester County, both Public and Private, and have found Ingleside to be one of the funnest, non pressure play experiences in the area.
Short and Unique
If you are looking to air out your driver, this is not the course for you. Very short, but with some very interesting holes if you like using irons off the tee and placing shots.
Water comes into play on several holes, many angled fairways, a 100 yard par 3 with an elevation drop of about 60-80 ft., you'll feel like you can almost putt it off the tee.
The course weaves through an apartment complex and definitely needs some upkeep... but not bad enough to avoid unless you are country club bred.
I enjoyed the round...
Good Course
Ingleside is a good course at a fair price. There are spots that haven't been maintained very well but fairways, approaches, and greens are fine. I play here once every two weeks.
Good until we got backed up
Fun course. Offers some challenging obstacles and terrain. The course was soggy from all the rain, so any damaged areas were no fault of the staff, just a consequence of the weather. It's a fun course to play from time to time... It will get old though, so don't overdo it here.
Ingleside is a convenient course for me to play.
Ingleside is a local course in my neighborhood. I played it occasionally. Because of its convenience. Maintenance is okay on the course. And the staff is cordial. I will return to play Ingleside because of its location.
