Golfer Reviews
Play Blues
I play here all the time. It is a very short course, so i suggest playing from the Blue tees to lengthen it and make it a bit more challenging. It has a bunch of par 3's, some that are deceivingly long(#6 & #8). The first is a driveable par 4. Greens are always just right. Some of the tee boxes are ehh. The course is always in good/great condition, even in the cold months and wet days. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Beware of #10, a 99 yd par 3 that plays 40 yds because it is about a 75 ft drop; dont take it lightly.
Great price, okay course
Course is short, 5200+/- yards. It's in modest shape as of the middle of April. Staff was friendly and accomodating enough. No complaints, will go again. But mostly because it's close.
Great value
Played on a 45 degree day. Conditions were pretty good given that it rained hard for a few days before. Played alone at 10:40am on a Friday and I didnt see another soul until 17.
Overall I like this course and for $14 it was a great deal. Greens were in good shape for the first days of spring. Pretty quick.
My one complaint with the course is that you dont come back to the clubhouse at the turn. You are are greeted with a dilapidated snack bar with one non-functional vending machine between 9 and 10. Its a shame because if they updated it to have a bar there is a nice view of the 10th green a good 100 feet below the tee box.
Great for short game practice.
This is a local, shorter course and is a lot of fun to play. Rounds tend to be short here, usually 3.5 hours, but i have played sub 3 hour rounds before.
Many holes are shorter in length but offer plenty of trouble to get into. This is a great course to test my short game on as I am left with a wedge or less in, depending on how I am driving that day.
Some uphill par 3's will test you, but there are some fun ones with nice settings and one with a drastic elevation change. Definately a course I will frequent during the year.
Good confidence builder
As others have said, the course is short so relatively easy but no piece of cake. With the limited distance the design stil gives challenges. Played first time in the fog - entertaining. Second time in sunshine and enjoyable. This is January and the course was in nice shape. Greens and fairways were damp and slow as expected in this weather. I found many ball marks on the greens - it seems that not many players seem to care to take care of the course.
don't let the length fool you!!!
While the card reads short don't under estimate this tricky little course. Different looks and design features require you to use every club in your bag. This course should be a part of your regular cycle. Its excellent condition, views and challenging play make this course a real winner.
fairly easy course and good for building confidence.
Have played Ingleside 4 X's now and always had fun. Course plays on the easy side with 5 par 3's ~ 2 par 5's ~ and some of the remaining 4's are shorter. My recent visit was booked as a golfnow hot deal and the staff attendent was not friendly ~ hesitant to honor my tee time even after I showed him my confirmation ~ and went on a ritual of how the course does not even get paid for "hot deals" ......yes it turned me off and I doubt I'll be returning after this treatment , which I've never experienced in the past.
Short, play from the blues
The course is relatively easy. 2 driveable par 4s and six par 3s look simple, but elevation changes on a few can put you in between clubs. RECCOMENDATION: Play from the Blue tees, takes away driving par 4s, and makes you place your drives between firway bunkers instead of going right over them. Good place to take kids, or your beginner wife/girlfriend. Great date idea for those so lucky!!
Good for the price
This course is maintained fairly well and its nice and open. However, having the 9th and 10th hole at the farthest corner of the property isn't ideal. It's a great value for golfnow.com but outside of that, I think it's more expensive than it should be.
This course was in great shape!
Good job maintaining the course. The fairways were in great shspr snd so were the greens. the raIns helped but still rrquires good knowlege on course upkeep. pleasure to play and some challenging holes.
The course is good, but only 5,106 yards long.
The course management is getting better than before, It's good for beginners because the course is only 5,106 yards long.
not bad fo a short course
the course is well maintained and has a courteous staff
love this course, always in great condition and I find great prices for this course on Golfnow.com however it is a short course.
