Ingleside Golf Club

The course conditions have vastly improved since last year. The greens are still recovering so I will give them a massive break with how they rolled. They've put a lot of money into the course with a refresh of the clubhouse, new carts, and tons of maintenance work. It is like night and day from last year.

Now that the good has been said time for the bad.

The tee boxes still need work. They're uneven and the grass needs a mow more often. It's a struggle finding a place to take a stance because one of your feet will always find a divot that's been over grown or a natural hump/low spot. They let the grass grow too high on the tee box so the grass comes halfway up the ball for short tees and there's an optical illusion of teeing too low for driver.

On 14 there's still a ground hornet or yellow jacket nest in the bunkers guarding the green. Since I'm allergic to wasps and hornets if a ball goes in there I have to abandon the ball.

Lastly there's still an issue with exiting the end of the cart paths so it's like an off road course and you get bounced all over the place if you take them even slightly fast.

Overall I will be coming back since I do find good value in the course especially since the improvements have been made. Anyone looking to play just be aware that the greens are a work in progress and I can't wait till they're back up to par.

Played this course based on the price of 18. Glad I did not pay any more. Greens are in rough shape but it is a short course and wide open so losing balls is hard to do. Saw the reviews beforehand so did not expect much. I always give a course a second chance so I will play again.

The condition of the greens ruined the whole round. Multiple dirt patches on basically every green and the grass wasn’t cut nearly as much as it should’ve been so they were way too slow. No way they should charge $55 to play that course being in the condition that it was in.

This course isn’t what it used to be. Played here for a quick 9 after work and left severely disappointed (not because of what I saw on my scorecard).

The greens are diabolical - which made putting impossible. Very uneven, dead grass and sand took up about 85% of these greens.

Not sure what’s going on with this course in the last few years but $35 for 9 is and will never be worth it here again. Cut that in half and you’ll get what you pay for. I have played many courses, for a FULL 18 that cost lower than this and the course conditions were gorgeous. This? Not even close. Do better Ingleside.

Spend the extra 10-20 and play somewhere else. The course conditions are awful.

The greens were beyond horrible. Could not putt at all. Would not recommend.

Unplayable golf course. Greens are dead. This course used to be a fun municipal course. Apparently, there was management change that has resulted in complete neglect of the course. Unbelievably, they have decided to increase their fees. Laughable. This move alone shows that they are either out of touch with reality or are just trying to squeeze every dime they can out of the few unfortunate folks that will play here. It should be free to play here until it is fixed (which will take years). Hopefully, the taxpayers in Caln Township will wake up and hold the management and commissioners accountable for completely destroying an asset that belongs to the taxpayers. It’s an absolute disgrace what has been done to this property. Do not play here.

The recent efforts of the staff to replace all carts and enhance the golf course environment are commendable. However, the condition of the green remains subpar, and the presence of goose droppings on the field is quite displeasing. The tee boxes are not well-maintained, and bunkers or rough areas lack proper care.

I have played this course many times in the last 15 years but I have never seen the greens in the condition they were in last week. Only about 4 or 5 even have grass on more than 80 % of the surface. The rest are mostly destroyed by disease . They are no longer playable. This course is a waste of time and I will not be back unless they start investing in the course to correct the problems which are extensive. It is a shame because the location and layout are great and it could be a nice course.

1st time playing at Ingleside. Friendly staff. Sketchy carts. Awful course conditions even for November. Worst greens I’ve ever seen, 90% sand. Knowing what I know now I don’t know that I’d play here for $20 let alone the $40 I actually paid. Round should have been free considering the course conditions.

I understand the proce was inexpensive hiwever EVERY green was in terrible condition. They were unplayable.

Shame. Great location and decent location. Could be so much better.

The course was in terrible shape. The greens were burned out, recent aeration didn't help. Made it bumpy and forced the ball in various directions.. Tee boxes were in bad shape. For the cost, not worth a.

Absolutely no maintenance. No greens whatsoever. Will never play again. The course has to be shut.

I never leave reviews, especially negative ones because I was taught to not say anything if you don't have anything nice to say. However, the conditions at this course were so bad I cannot hold my tongue. I wish I would have taken images to upload but this place has been completely let go. There was grass growing in the bunkers! They recently aerated and dumped the pellets 3 feet off to the side of the greens. I wish they had as much sand in the bunkers as they had on the greens, and oh by the way, there was onion grass growing ON THE GREENS! Please don't play here!

Brutal course conditions. Certainly not worth the price paid. Respectfully, I wouldn’t play this course if it was the only course left in the greater Philadelphia area.
