A real challenge of shot making. Greens are difficult to read but fair. The beauty of the course makes you forget any poor shots. I wish this course was closer to my home. I’d play it all the time.

My wife & I had a enjoyable round at Galen Hall on a 85 degree day with a good breeze. Course was in great shape for this poor start to the season. Forward tees were perfect for us senior golfers. Putts rolled true on the greens. Don't miss a chance to play this course!

A little wet.. Lots of elevation change.. The roads that cut through kinda stink but I know about them after playing it once

Living so close to Galen Hall definitely has its benefits. When you’re in this area, and have a couple hours free, this course is a must play! Full of long fairways, and tall unforgiving bunkers. Galen hall gives you the feeling of playing a PGA course, for the price of playing a chip, and putt. I’ve played here over 100 times throughout my life, and would recommend Galen for a round any day of the week. You will not be disappointed with what my personal opinion is the best bang for your buck course in the Berks County area!

Galen Hall is playing firm and fast right now. Expect plenty of roll in the fairways and firm fast greens that putt true. We had a magnificent weather day to play but there were gnats that swarmed around us on almost every hole. Not sure what caused that but it was the only detraction of the whole day. If you want to get away for a day of golf with beautiful mountain views, inexpensive rates and a challenging course by all means take the drive to Galen Hall. Another tip, you must stay below the pin as you can putt the ball off many of the greens if you are above it.

Driving a little further to this very picturesque golf course. Stater let me out early. Little damp and the nats were busy. Enjoyed the round after a shakey start. Course is in good shape. Near the end of the round played behind a threesome. Thought that they would let me through but they didn't offer. Would play here again and recommend.

Rough was a bit long; if you hit off the fairway difficult to find ball as rough was long.

Was looking forward to playing the famous Galen Hall. I can say I was disappointed I thought the layout was bizarre. Never did I have to play over a roadway, first time playing didn't realize it either due to blind hole location. Seemed like every shot you were either ball above or below feet. As a reviewer stated earlier you had no idea where you were on the course, until I got to the 18th and saw a plaque in the ground that said 70 yrds. Of all the courses I played in the area this is last on my list. But understand this is my opinion you may love it, it just didn't go with my style.

Have played Galen Hall approx 4 times in last 60 days and really enjoy the course overall. Conditions nice and pace was good, except on one occasion where foursome would not let me (single) play through after the turn. Just a rude group of locals, but not rrflective of the course itself. Greens were nice conditoon, its very scenic and openness of course makes this fun to play. However, some of the holes are long or quite challenging. Only negative, it's a very long drive for me, about 75 min due to back country roads, so $40 or more green fee is not appealing. I give a thumbs up and recommend, but lower the fees if you want to attract more people.

Course was great. Need to play more than once. Front nine is okay, but the back nine is as good as any nine holes you will play.

Much nicer courses available in the area for better prices. Had an early tee time. Nowhere to get food before we started. Course is very poorly marked for distances. Course is a very gimmicky layout. Hit what you think is a good shot down the fairway and never find the ball

This course had character on every hole, well worth the 2 hr drive. I'm always in search of hilly courses that make you think of your placement of every shot, and this delivered big time!

I was shocked to see how poorly conditioned the course was. Who air raids the greens in mid August? The "new" bunker on 6, 8, 12 have not taken. It has killed all the grass around these bunkers. This course is usually in great shape. I'd be embarrassed if I were Galen Hall. They really need to fix the grass conditions. They are awful

Very hilly layout that is tight and challenging. Every hole has a different look and feel.
