Staff was very friendly both at check in and in the loung
Pace of play for the 5 was slow but then picked up..Finished in just under 4hrs. Course was in good shape.
Needed course map and better signage
First time player... Had to ask others where certain holes started. Need more signs and a map on the score card to be helpful .
Mid
You kinda get what you pay for… but only if you call in and book if you book it online, it’s definitely overpriced for what you’re getting
One of the best course I’ve played locally
Played early morning but course layout is excellent. The greens were rolling nice even for being wet.
Nice day
Course was in good condition . And not many golfers out there. I enjoy the staff and the course.
Worst club in York
Absolutely not worth your time or money for 6 minute tee gaps, hugged fairways, rude staff, swampy course conditions, find-a-way cart paths, and constant distractions & interruptions. (Although the greens are decently consistent). If you’re just learning and have money to blow; sure. If you prefer to not have a stacked course because tee times are too tight, or people constantly yelling “fore” during your backswing, then might I suggest you save a dollar and head right up the road to briarwood.
The staff here are non-professional at best, barely able to answer a phone and deal with a register at the same time.
But hey- if you like pizza.. and balls flying at you while you’re eating, their restaurant section isn’t too bad.
Hands down the least enjoyable course in York
Great round
First round here in about a year, greens were playing great. Course was in great condition, the tee boxes were a little rough on some holes but it’s November. Staff was great, really enjoyed ourselves. Great value, 35$ and pace of play was good today even with the frost delay.
No tee times for singles
I’m pretty new to the area. Grandview won’t give a single player a tee time. I try to get to the course before the first group out in the morning makes the turn but I can’t get there before 8:30 am sometimes. I pay my yearly dues but I’m only able to play 9 holes most of the time when I can get there before 8:30. Plus the back nine is rarely ready for play. Leaves, morning dew on green. Plus you have to dodge the sprinkler system that’s always on!
Got my $$ worth
Played with with a friend who lives in York Co on a $15 deal from GroupGolfer. Upon arrival there was a person outside taking certificates and fees and permitted me to jump right on. Despite there being a good number of people on the course, I was able to sneak in a hole for practice until my friend arrived. Be forewarned: there is a sign I didn't see saying no carts in lot. I rode the cart right my friends car, got a scowl, but that's it.
It was a windy day so it's not entirely fair to evaluate the ease or difficulty. Our biggest complaints were:
1. tee boxes need to be mowed
2. Course VERY poorly marked.
3. put more 150 yard markers
Otherwise I'd give the course a B. Despite aeration holes, the greens were rolling fairly true. The course has a nice mix of long and reachable holes. Cart paths are practically non-existent, but the carts worked well and the terrain was pretty smooth. No drinking water on course so bring your own.
For regular prices I wouldn't go back because I have so many better options nearby, but for $15, I'd say I easily got my money's worth
Good course at a great price
Greens are some of the best I've played on in the last few years. We played from temporary tees, as the main tees were being worked on. Nice routing, good holes with no two alike. Food & drink at Brewvino after the round were excellent.
Everything is rough
This was the first and probably last time I play this course. Lucky I didn't pay for it. The tee boxes are all in bad shape, there's no difference between the fairway and the rough and the greens are all small and flat. The layout is poor, and not well marked. With the grass being all the same length with little to no boundaries between fairways, it made it difficult to know which fairway was the one for the hole. Also, ratchet straps maybe appropriate to secure your bag due to the condition of the cart paths. Bad conditions does not make for challenging play, just unenjoyable play.
