Great course. I wish it wasn't the hottest day of the summer that I went out on but it was a really nice course. Especially not having had rain in what feels like months (probably not exaggerating). Love the course and will return soon!
Very pleasant day at Cranston CC.
Found course very playable, got off first tee right on time. Little breezy here but it was welcome with the temperatures. Fairways in good shape with small brown out areas on sides (hot weather probably) and greens were in great shape. Bring water as with most courses there's none out there. Pro shop only stocked with golf balls and hats. Only ordered couple beers at turn from bar but it overlooks 10th tee and 18th green so probably nice to hang around when you're done. Overall, we'd be back.
Great value
Used to play this course back in the day when I went to Bryant. Haven’t been back since. Very glad I came back. Course was in good shape. Fairways and greens were healthy and rolling well. Not a lot of difficulty on this course if you can keep your ball straightish. Will definitely be back
Worst Ranger Of All Time
This excuse of a ranger followed my group around for 6 holes on the front 9. We were waiting on every tee box but he kept in insisting that we pick up pace of play. Again, we were waiting on EVERY tee box. He legitimately drove his cart 10 feet behind each player as they hit and even got out of his cart and walked on the green as we were putting. Never seen anything like this. Wanted to leave and ask for my $ back. Guy was a grumpy old bag. Turns out his buddies were a few groups back and complained about pace. Will never go to this course again.
Cranston is a great course that just needs the little things
Cranston is a great course for the high to mid handicapper.
The fairways are wide open while still being framed by trees so if you hit into them, that's on you. Greens are large and the course is always in great shape.
It only needs the little things to really make it a must play.
Newer carts, better bunkers, flatten the teeing areas abit.
Im a high handicapper and I play here weekly and will continue to for the foreseeable future

Inconsistent, slow and bumpy greens
The greens are very inconsistent, slow in most cases, bumpy, even before aeration. They need to be rolled at minimum, which would improve them drastically. Fairways are in good shape, but there rough is set up too high, higher than any other course that I play in RI. This slows the pace of play down dramatically for the average or below average golfer. Enter into the rough, and when you finally find your ball after searching for awhile, then we all become hackers. The rough is set up for pro players and not the average golfer. The bunkers are never raked, and the majority of the cart paths are extremely poor.
