Foster Country Club

Foster CC is a good course that a foursome can usually complete in 3 3/4 - 4 hrs. The course has several unique holes where good decision making is more important than distance. The course also has several straight forward short holes including a few t par 4s that are reachable off the tee for the 'big hitters'. Unfortunately this round took an ungodly 5+ hours to complete! Several groups in back of us gave up and moved elsewhere on the course. Even though we were ready at the tee box 15 minutes BEFORE our tee time we did not get off the 1st tee until at least 15 minutes AFTER the tee time. It appeared that the course had allowed a few foursomes to jump in. A couple of the groups were definitely having a 'good time' which led to the horrible pace of play. Hopefully this was a 1x occurrence, but it will make me think twice before booking another tee time here.

Greens were in good shape (albeit, all golfers need to repair their ball marks ...please!). We played in the Fall, and there were a couple of spotty sections of fairway which may have been seasonally related.

My only complaints were a many of the areas with heavy cart traffic were very very very dusty (maybe throw some wood chips down?). And a personal pet peeve of mine, there seemed to be zero "dress code" as several golfers were playing in tee shirts. (It doesn't have to be Augusta National, but there should be a minimum "dress code" at every golf course.)

This is a nice course, it was somewhat busy until it started to rain, as a die-hard I had to finish it (that's what rain suits are for). enjoyable course

Courses in excellent condition very good layout. Back nine very challenging need some very good place my shots on a few of the holes. 19th Hole has very good food very reasonably priced

Good place to play greens in great shape a few blind shots

A very pretty course carved out of dense northern RI woods. It's very out of the way but enjoy the scenery on the way. Greens are medium speed. Cups had not been cut recently. Fairways and rough were well maintained. Traps/sand are above average. Gas cart was clean and ran well. Lots of holes with layup shots off the tee. First time I ever parred a par 5 with a drive, gap wedge and sand wedge without missing a shot except for the putt for birdie.. And there was no other way for me to play the hole. Last 2 holes are long par 3s. Completed round in less than 4 hours. Nice touch: pro-shop clerk came to practice green to introduce me to golfers I would be playing with. No driving range. Found way more balls than I lost. I will be back.

The course was in great shape. Not too challenging and not too forgiving. Greens were challenging. Booked my round through Golfnow and got way more than I paid for. Will definitely go back to play again. The restaurant was a bonus. Food was amazing. Definitely try the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza.

The back 9 at this place is straight out of a horror movie. 12 is the most rediculous golf hole on planet earth. Pure target golf. Conditions were ok. Greens quick and extemely difficult. Even the practice green is on a severe slope. Ends with back to back par 3s. Bizarre layout to say the least.

Staff was friendly, Knowing it was going to pouring rain, tried to cancel through Golf Now. however as many times I called, there was no answer. The golf course was open at my tee time, and were preparing for a large tournament later in the afternoon. first two holes it sprinkled, then came the rain, after 5 holes the course was flooded. I was soaked, couldn't see.

As a VIP member I tried to cancel, but as I say no one answered. Not Golf Now's fault, it's the chances you take. however I was hoping to have talked with someone regarding conditions.

Played Fosters a few times now. Love the layout, challenging and far. Like the long par 3 and dogleg par 4's and 5's. Back nice has blind tee shots and elevation changes that force you to play good shots. Course in great shape and staff are very friendly.. Will be back again to play here..

I have played here several times. This time the course was in the best shape I have ever seen it in. I enjoy that every hole is very different from the other. Pace of play was great, we had no one in front of us all day.

Ate in the clubhouse. I had a cheese burger, my buddy had a club sand sandwich. Both of us were completely satisfied with our meals!

I found the staff very friendly. the course is in very good shape the green are extremely fast and in great shape it was my first time playing this course and found it difficult to play. some of the green you cannot see for you second shot. i would play again. I had lunch after the round and the food and staff at hole 19 is great.
