Green valley review
Really enjoyed the conditions and it was really convenient to have burgers and dogs on the grill for the turn. Awesome course for price.
Great course near Newport RI
Green Valley is only a couple miles from Newport Rhode Island. It is a great public course. It is a longer public course than many in the area, but all holes are fair. Wide fairways allow you to "hit away". Greens were in great shape and reasonably fast. Many holes have a New England feel to them with rock walls on the sides and rolling farmland next door. Good mix of hole designs with elevation changes and fair guarding of some pin positions with steep bunkers. Overall and great value, especially with Hot Deals.
Watch out on 18.
Great course. Birdied 3rd hole last two outings! Watch out on 18. Driving range balls may get you. Golf here. You will be glad you did.
Neat Track
A fun course to play. Excellent layout, no funky holes. Plays shorter than measures. Green good, but fuzzy and slow. Hard to judge speed.
Great course and beautifully landscaped
Brought 3 friends to play this course and we all had a wonderful time. We played between a foursome and a twosome. We were slightly held up by the foursome which made the twosome behind us slightly held up. They apparently told the ranger we were holding them up and the ranger came over (somewhat nasty) that we women had to move it along. I have never seen a ranger on the course before and since we were only on the 4th hole he didn't evaluate the field and just assumed because we were women, it was our group. I had to apologize to the 4 men in front of us because I hit into them several times after that. They were all very nice and picked up their pace after we spoke. Never saw the ranger again.
I spoke with the owner after the round and he handled the situation with utmost respect and was super apologetic. Definitely a great business owner and understands the game and wants people to enjoy playing on his course.
We ate in the restaurant following our round and the food was great.
Will definitely go back to play again. Just driving from hole to hole, the landscape is beautiful. Love the old push mowers and wheels going from hole 15 to 16.
Great course
Beautiful coastal New England layout. Scorable first hole, immediately followed by a 454 yd par 4! Most of the rough wasn’t too punishing, making recovery easier. The greens were in nice shape. They were rolling a bit slower than the practice green. A very fun course to play, and can’t wait to come back for more!

Lovely course, but a few extra long holes.
I’m a pretty decent golfer (16 ) but 460 par 4. ? Really …. Maybe on the PGA . There are a couple pretty long
4s and par 5s also… 560.
It’s a lovely spot and in nice condition.

Definitely one of my favorite New England courses!! Whenever I get to Newport this is a must play. Course is long so bring your driver and woods. Greens are in fantastic shape. Hidden gem!! Enjoy
