Laurel lane
They had a tournament go off in front of us and started us on the back nine. We never saw anyone in front or in back of us all day. Very good round.
great day
coarse great condition played with older golfer not to many gold tee boxes played from white. start time on time.
Good course for beginners
Can't complain too much for the price I paid. Front nine was slow, back was normal pace. Some holes do not have yardages, this made it very interesting. Most holes you have to search for yardage but on a positive, the ones you find are accurate. Front was a very open layout, back was still open but plenty of doglegs and blind shots, thankfully the guy I played with knew the course. I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone above beginner, not very challenging but if you're not scoring well and need a confidence boost, this is the place to go. It was very relaxing and I got to hit a lot of shots that I normally wouldn't hit, like an easy driver/strong 3 wood to the Par 4 #6 green to make Eagle.
Wide Open Front Nine Leads to a Narrow and Winding Back
The day started wet but turned out great. The front nine is mostly wide open in a giant area with a couple tight holes the sneak into the woods. It's very low-lying, tucked into the trees and with little wind, and the wet start to the day brought out a lot of mosquitoes. There was also some groundwork being done on a few of the beginning holes, the you might need to improve your lie a bit at the start. Once you get going, it's a really nice track. The back nine is tougher and cuts up and down, in and out, making it a challenge over the front nine.
It's off the beaten path and you have to navigate some back roads to find it, but check it out if you're in southern RI.
The course was awesome
Even though it rained a bit the course was gorgoies. Greens were kept, pace was good. The gentleman in the club house were truly great guys. HIGHLY recommend this course. Great for experienced golfers and golfers who aren't as good
adequate at best. minimal yardage markers. How hard is it to put a blue, white, and red stake on each hole.
Can't wait to go back
The course was wet, but that was to be expected. It was in very good shape, the tee boxes were in great shape, and the greens were outstanding. The fairways were very good, and the rough was very forgiving. We played with a local which helped, as there were a few holes that were blind shots. The course was very playable for all abilities! Even with an hour drive, I will play this course again this summer!
April 13
After a bad New England March the crew got the tee boxes and greens in great shape for my first round of the year.
Good course
Nice course a little wet but that was due to all the rain. Front 9 is wide open and back 9 is tight. Really nice greens.
Friendly staff. I'll be back for sure
Great value
Great value. Pace of play was great. Course conditions were a little rough around the edges but greens were in good shape I would Play again for the price .
dry
Played here many times. Not real fun due to funky holes and many blind tee shots. This particular Saturday, it was 95 degrees with high humidity. There is no available water on any hole. There was no cart on the course offering water or beverages. Bring your own on hot days I guess. The clubhouse is beautiful, with great food, but moderately overpriced adult beverages. Great staff,, but overall, need to raise their course accommodations to compete with local venues.
Great pace round in under four hours
Ditto
Could do with some work on cart paths
Otherwise with the moths and being so dry course is in good condution
Re-visit a good value.
Greens were consistent and in good shape. Fairways were dry and sparse in places. Knowing where to place your tee is key on several holes. The man at the pro shop gave us a yardage book which helped us score better on a few holes. Bunkers were fluffy and groomed. There were blind tee shots, so the follow the yardage book's advice. Our watch GPS worked well, even though the fairways are well marked. One hole (5) was under re-sodding, which looks to be a good hole when completed. If the wind is up, which it was, may have to change clubs to compensate. I am a 20 HDCP and shot an 86 with 2 birdies and 4 pars. Course is easy to get to off I-95 exit 3 in SW Rhode Island.
Beautiful Place lousy conditions
There are better courses in the area, unless you, pay $25 or under go some where else, greens are bumpy, fairways are full of clover, bunkers are rarely raked, tees are full of divots, exceptionally pretty location go there to eat and sit on the deck, don't bother with golf
A tale of 2 nines.
I had a very enjoyable time this past Sunday. The course is in great shape. The fairways are nice and green and the recently aerated greens are softening up nicely. I enjoy this course very much be cause I feel it plays like two different nine-hole courses. The front nine is relatively open with the flags in view and the back nines first four holes have the flags out of view. Several years ago they made improvements on the 13th hole improving the fairway and enlarging the green and this year they have improved the fifth holes fairway. They have a driving range a very large practice green and a smaller practice green by the first hole. Everyone who works there is very friendly and always more than willing to help with anything you need.
Friday Golf Round With The Berst Of Weather
I W#as a single with a tee time of 7:34AM. I was paired with another golfer, Harry, who had played the course before and could tell me the challenges of each hole on the course. The fairways were green and I was able to hit my hybrid rescue club many times to keep me out of trouble The greens were in great shape with many slopes and contours which made the hard to read.
Both Harry and I lost some golf balls we should have have found in the fairways near the rough but I feel there is a golf ball stealing gremlin out there who likes to hoard golf balls. The weather was sunny with breezes and the temperatures were in the low 70s. Ideal golf weather. I enjoyed this course and am eager to play it again in a few weeks!
a hidden gem
I had played this course once before and decided to try it again. Course was in very goof shape, there were some improvements going on,but didn't hinder play. Staff was very friendly and helpful
