Course was in good shape and greens were nice. Course has nice layout between birdies holes and holes that you play for par. Fun round would play there again.
Golf
Greens were rolling at a nice pace, fairways still a little thin, bunkers need some attention.
Things that need attention
The pro shop is a empty. There is nothing in their to buy.
They double booked tee times there was a line to start, but we were allowed to start on #10 which was nice and the pace was great.
When coming around back to the front nine when we got to #3 there was a group of six. Not good. Most courses would have broken that up real quick but there was no one from the course going around checking in on pace of play.
The course condition is really nice though bunkers could use a little attention like more sand and rakes there were several bunkers that a rake was nowhere in sight
Golf
Greens were fine at putting at a good speed. The fairways are still thin. Bunkers have sand just need to be maintained.
Hole In One!!
It was a great day! I was playing with 2 good friends of mine and made a hole in one on #16!!
I could not have had a better day.
Terrible Course for a Hot Deal $45 round
Do not recommend this course to anyone. I got a round for a hot deal of $45 and the course conditions seemed like I was paying to play a $20 round. I understand inflation and all but the course was not kept up…
Driving range was patchy with weeds and dirt and ant hills everywhere….
Fairways were average.
Rough in between perpendicular holes were just dirt, no grass.
5+ greens had massive dead spots
Tee boxes were not cut, also patchy with weeds
And the worst part was pace of play for a Saturday. Tee time was 8:30, didn’t finish until 2:30. Stopped at the turn for 10 minutes. 6 hour round of golf is a joke…
Thought it was funny that they had a sign say “don’t spend more than 10 minutes in clubhouse”.
I hate leaving bad reviews but this course is struggling.
Back on the Home Course
Spent a month on the road playing golf throughout Eastern Tennessee and the Piedmont of North Carolina. Played some great and average courses along the way, but happy to be back on the familiar grounds of Quail Ridge. The staff is always friendly. They help you whenever they can and are doing a good job of getting the fairways and greens in good shape. A great value for the money. Feel fortunate to live so close to the course.
Hole in one!
It was a great day! Played with 2 friends who witnessed me making a Hole in One on 16 par 3. With a breeze in our face and at 112 yards with an 8 iron I hit a clean shot that hit the green about 2 feet or so in front of the hole and it rolled in. We saw it go in which made for a great round. Had to celebrate with a few beers afterwards.
Decent course, no amenities
Course is in good shape, bunks and some greens need special attention. Practice range could use some care. No drink cart and the club house is extremely bare, bring your own snack and drink. Friendly staff and great price
Quail Ridge
The course needs some warm nights for the Bermuda to spring to life. Fairways a bit thin. Greens ran a very good speed. Bunkers need attention. Overall, nice weather and a good day to be out hitting the ball.
Horrible
Course condition was atrocious. They should be ashamed. The course in that condition doesn’t warrants $37 for 18. Fairways were uncut and greens were in really bad shape. Clubhouse and food was barren.
