Friendly staff, course was in good condition especially for the heat we have had. Only issue was they let an 8 some play together which required some working around.

Excellence in the middle of nowhere

I love this golf course. The uneven terrain augments the challenge in a very natural, organic way. The layout and course condition are superb. The round you play will be well worth greens fee.

MuniGolf around Nashville

GreyStone Golf Club is a bit of a hike from Downtown Nashville but some really good-looking holes mixed with some very quirky holes.

All good except for the greens

This course would be the best public course in the Nashville area - hands down - if the club golfers there would repair their ball marks on the greens. I fixed 100 of them myself during the round and do the same thing about every time I play there. If the course would put reminder signs up, it may help.

The course also needs to have a bell placed at the bottom of the hill on number 1 so that players on the tee will know when it is clear to hit.

Other than those two complaints, the course is fantastic.

Solid public course

9 and 18 are fantastic. A few solid par 3s and 4s mixed with a strange opening hole (that plays as number 10* on weekend). Bunkers in great shape as are tee areas, fairways and greens.

Higher greens fee that meets expectation for the price.

Best public course in middle TN

I’ve been playing this course for 20 years. The greens are always in great shape. The course itself is always in great shape. It’s a challenge but when playing well you can shoot good scores. I’ve had good days in the high 60s and bad days all the way into the high 80s and low 90s. Highly highly recommend this course.. it takes me about 45 minutes to get out to Dickson from Nashville, but I’ll pick this course over any public course closer to me. Zoysia fairways and bent grass greens are rare for public courses around here and they tend to both of them very well. Great value for the quality of the course. I don’t usually write reviews, but this course and it’s staff deserve high praise.

Solid course with enjoyable options for different skill-level players

Greystone has long been my favorite course because of its proximity. Probably the best thing about it is that by moving up or back on the tees, nearly anyone can have a good time playing it. The front tees are plenty short enough for me and other players who can't hit it far, but the tips make this a challenging course for very good players who can drive it a mile.

The only down side might be that a lot of people now play Greystone, and that shows in the state of fairways and some greens. Don't get me wrong -- they are plenty good enough to play, but they won't blow you away with beauty.

Great Track

If it wasn’t such a long drive from Nashville I’d play here weekly. Course needs water ahead of a hot summer. Would’ve liked to have seen some water jugs out there too. Overall great time at a solid track.
