Twelve Stones Golf Club
About
Twelve Stones Golf Club (formerly known as Twelve Stones Crossing) sprawls across rolling hills, making the golf course known for its dramatic elevation changes. An even lie will be hard to find and golfers will also have a few blind shots in store for them. The undulating terrain makes for some difficult holes but it serves another, more player-friendly purpose of providing scenic respite with idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. The greens are lightning fast, but they roll true and there is rough bordering the well-manicured fairways. There are also several bunkers strategically placed throughout. It is a golf course that is challenging but still fun to play, a statement that holds true for a wide range of skill levels. Given the versatile design and affordable rates, Twelve Stones Golf Club is a popular venue for tournaments and outings.

Stff
Staff were extremely friendly, very good people there. Ill return for that reason alone.
I have never seen a worse pace of play in all my years of playing golf. It took almost 3 hours for 9 holes of play. Ended up leaving early because I couldn't take it any more. The lunch at the turn was the best food I have ever had! The people in the restaurant were very friendly. The course lay out is amazing but could use someone at the course who knows how to maintain it. Lots of potential in this course just very mismanaged
1Twelvestones
My first time here, Greens were smooth and kinda quick but they were consistent. I had to look around a couple of times to make sure I was going to the correct tee. Lots of elevated greens where you cannot see the bottom of the flag. GPS worked better here than the range finder. Some tight fairways and blind tee shots, but markers in every fairway so just hit to them . Yardages markers on every hole (helpful) . I will play this one again, enjoyable round.
First time back in many years
Glad to see this course making a comeback. Greens were great!!!!! Bunkers are coming along. Many trees and growth have cleared and the turf is getting some air. Rough was mowed short so easy to find your ball. Probably the best bargain in the area right now.
VERY CHALLENGING
TOUGH GOLF COURSE,,IF YOU KNOW HOW TO SHAPE THE BALL,YOUR OK,,BUT FOR A AMATUER ITS HARD,,BUT I ENJOY A CHALLENGE,WILL PLAY AGAIN
Good time for the money
I like this course. I feel like it continues to get better. The greens are nice and they are making strides on bunkers and other parts of the course. This course is good for the money right now. You can almost always find a cheap round on the golf now site or app and go enjoy yourself for a few hours.
Great turnaround
Play this course maybe twice a year over the past four-five years, and this is the best condition it's ever been in. It's visible they are continually making improvements and I will be playing there more often.
Terrific layout & views - needs TLC
Greens had recently been plugged & topdressed, so they were slow, but I could tell they will be fearful in another month. The layout winds up & down the hillsides, has water hazards to think about, sand bunkers need work, but the uphill shots are tough. HotDeal special fit the schedule @ good price; restaurant was not open so they missed our lunch money.
12 Stones needs 12 Stars
This golf course is absolutely amazing! The greens are easily the best greens I have played in Nashville/Goodletsville, and the course design and views are impeccable. I would highly recommend anybody I know to go play here. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Chase was a fantastic help, and made our experience worth returning many times. Do yourself a favor and book a tee time.
Pace of play was terrible!
It took 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes because of the pace of play. Was looking forward to playing the course but by hole 5 was fed up & ready to leave. No one was controlling pace of play. The group ahead of us was on a double date with there ladies, stopping taking pictures. It's not an issue when course is slow, but on a packed day, someone should have been on top of their play. Won't be back for the pace of play reason alone.
Its back!
A LOT of work has been put in by the new owners to bring this course back into good condition. Greens are fantastic, bunkers are excellent, & the rough & fairways have been well manicured. When the heat arrives & the bermuda comes in, course will be outstanding. Only knock is there is no practice green yet but it is being built. Great staff.
Great Condition
The greens are in excellent shape fairways are coming in and many more small improvements continue to bring life back to this course come play Twelve Stones you wont regret it.
New Ownership
Had a chance to play this course again last week and I have to say, the new ownership is doing great things. The greens are in superb condition (and not just "for this time of year). The bunkers are not washed out like they used to be, and in fact talking with management they plan to remove a few that continually wash out anytime it rains (approach on 9). They filled in the mosquito breeder of a swamp behind 8 green/9 tee and have cleaned up the creeks and ponds. They've also moved the tees back on some holes (12!) that make the course more challenging. They've built a pergola on their veranda -- can't wait to come back in the summer to take advantage of it.
I'll definitely be back.
Course was in great shape. I will play there again it's very challenging.i moved here from Orlando Fl this is the best course I've played so far I recommend this course an the food was excellent
Great design
First the good. This is one of the best designed courses I've ever played. Every hole is different and they are all fun to play. The greens and fairways are in good shape. The course was full but the pace of play was good.
The bad. No putting green. No sand in dirt traps. Some areas around the greens need repair. No snack bar.
I was told that the new owners have really improved the course over the last year. They have a way to go, but if they keep at it this will be an exceptionally excellent course. I hope the traps are next on the list, our foursome played them as ground under repair.
Forget about the past !!
Forget what ever you experienced or was told about this course in the past because it is not the same 12 Stones . I used to play this course regularly but stopped due to the horrible green conditions. The previous owner either didn't have the $$ to put into it or didn't care so the course just turned into a pasture. NOT now!!! The greens have been looking good all winter but now they are some of the best around. The place is quickly becoming one of the best around and if things continue to improve as the weather warms it will be the premier course in middle Tn.
Must Play!
Great course for the money - greens were the best i have played on in TN. I will diffidently be coming back and bringing my friend's!
Good time
I heard good things about this course on recent reviews and wanted to check it out. I will say that the greens were in the best shape of any course that I've played and rolled very true. The staff was also very friendly and the course played every bit of 6,900 yards. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the fact that you were either hitting up or down a mountain every hole, which made approach shots very difficult not being used to it. I don't know how number 3 isn't the number 1 handicap. It's a 393 yard up hill par 4 that played close to 500 yds. A massive drive wcan get you to the 150 marker, but the 150 marker really means you are 200 yards out, because it plays 50 yards up hill.
I wil say that I had a great time and believe the new owner is taking pride in his course. I will definitely recommend it to friends.
Good Course
The only reason I give this course a 3 star is because it's winter and the course isn't blooming and it just rained. Other than that the course is challenging yet fun and the greens are nice. This course is definitely one to play and is a good golf course!
