About
Twelve Stones Golf Club (formerly known as Twelve Stones Crossing) sprawls across rolling hills, making the golf course known for its dramatic elevation changes. An even lie will be hard to find and golfers will also have a few blind shots in store for them. The undulating terrain makes for some difficult holes but it serves another, more player-friendly purpose of providing scenic respite with idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. The greens are lightning fast, but they roll true and there is rough bordering the well-manicured fairways. There are also several bunkers strategically placed throughout. It is a golf course that is challenging but still fun to play, a statement that holds true for a wide range of skill levels. Given the versatile design and affordable rates, Twelve Stones Golf Club is a popular venue for tournaments and outings.

Will Play Again!
If you can ignore the Tee Boxes that are getting some love but need a little more the rest of the course is a lot of fun (you know golf fun). There is no such thing as a flat lie on this course that features rolling hills throughout. The course challenges you with hazards in key spots and makes you use the entire bag. Greens were quick, fairways well maintained and houses are set off the fairway enough they don't come into play...except for that one shot. Carts are GPS monitored so you know when someone is around the dogleg in front of you, but this also means you are restricted in some areas from using the cart and it will power down on you. Overall the course was fun and on my list to play next year when I'm back in the area.
Improving my game
The rough is forcing target spots and the seeming smaller greens are rolling well. Both have engaged a re focus needed for improvement.

Continuously improvong
Staff is making obvious changes to fairway layout and the rough is strategically placed for inbound play. Greens are maturing but still inside the 1year mark so they look to be improving through the growing season.

Continuous improvement
I've played this course several times over the last 5 years and they have continued to improve that entire time. New greens are better now than the old grass at this time of year. Another growing season and they should be noticeably better.

SLOW
Pace of play was terrible. Multiple groups on every tee box. 5 1/2 hour crawl. No Marshall or anyone from the pro shop on the golf course to even try to keep pace of play going. The only employee of Twelve Stones on the golf course was a cart girl.

Save your money!!!
This course was $40 course a few months ago. They added Bermuda greens and all of a sudden they charge like it's Augusta National. Well, it ain't!!! The greens were fine before. How about fixing the horrible crooked and bare tee boxes and grow some grass in the fairways. People are sick and tired of having a tight lie on every shot. The only repeat customers are out of towners and members. I've been playing this course forn15 yrs, but as Roberto Duran once said...."No Mas".

If you’re looking for a club to be a member of this is the place. A great layout that’s challenging from the tips but playable for any handicap. Great elevation. Restaurant is wonderful too.
