Best kept secret
I’ve liked this place for years now but of late, the course has been impeccable. Can’t beat it for the money, a little bit of everything a golfer could want, challenging but not ridiculous holes with a wide variety of required shots, and pace of play is always a non issue. I usually go to murfreesboro, Franklin, or Brentwood to play but this has become my “home”/ favorite course. Food is awesome, happy hour with good beer. Friendly staff. Overall excellent. Highly recommended. Good job SCGC on getting this place to where it is today.
Getting better
The course is greening up and getting into better playing conditions. You can tell they had some flooding issues. Greens are in good shape but slower than expected. Still a great course and I’ll be back.
One of my favorites
The staff is friendly and helpful. The course is getting better. The greens are getting better. Everything about the course is getting better with the new management. It’s a fun layout and fun to play.
Wind and winter
Course is still in winter conditions with tee boxes and fairways, Greens were in excellent condition. Wind was 20 mph and a factor
Avoid until April
I booked online bc I’ve played this course a bunch, love the course.
However I called to confirm my booking and they said that hole 1 and 2 were bad but the rest were fine.
Well, they aerated the greens and everyone was a sand bunker. They were not puttable bc they were jumping all over the place. I know it’s necessary, but to pay full price for that was disappointing.
But hey, ones they heal, I fully recommend this course.
No notification
Booked a round for my birthday and drove 45 minutes to get there. The course was COVERED in snow! Didn't get a call or email or any notice that just maybe the course was unplayable. Where I live, there was zero snow and hadn't snowed at all in over a week. When I got there, guy in the pro shop said he had seen the tee time, and said he was sorry I couldn't play. Gee, thanks.
Fun Course
Wooded on front and open on back. Course is in much better shape than a couple years back. Greens are nice and roll true.
