Tanglewood Club

Lots of elevation changes at Tanglewood CC. Greens are in good condition and some are tough to read, but roll nicely. Wide variety of holes, and reachable par 5's even from the tips. Had a fun time.

The tee boxes and parts of fairways were beat up. Hole 8's fairway was awful. However if given the same price, I would go back.

This course went sadly downhill several years ago, but the present management are doing a great job bringing it back to it's former great condition. It has some classic holes, particularly #6. One problem we encountered with 2 other players was handle quickly and decisively by the course management. Their dedication to giving players a good experience is very obvious. Highly recommended!

Conditions are very good. Traps are in much better shape. Greens are smooth and fast. People are very accommodating.
Price is right too.

My buddy and I played Tanglewood on Saturday, 8/10, and had a blast. Except for the 8th and 10th fairways the course was in solid shape. As long as the greens roll nice I am happy and they sure did. Since we were a twosome, groups were polite and we played thru no problem. Staff was great and so was the experience.

I had not played here before. It was a last minute choice. Driving by a few holes on the way in I thought it looked like it was short on real estate but once I started playing it I found I was wrong and there is plenty of room for a golf course. There are striking elevation changes and the layout takes advantage of the natural surroundings. There are a few holes where a little local knowledge will go a long way in avoiding an unseen creek or dog leg. A great value.

This course has numerous holes playing through a creek valley and hence it floods easily. The low lying holes were in poor condition; however, numerous other holes had drainage/flood problems; e.g. seemed like a majority of the traps were in bad shape (and it has not rained in a week).
Warning: do not keep your hands on the steering-wheel when driving on/across the 17th fairway--you could break your wrist.
This is a tight course (now over-grown) and the greens have too much slope to be cut at today's Stimp-meter readings.

Some patchy fairways. Greens need some work. Signage leaves something to be desired. Scorecard not helpful. Assumption seems to be that you have played frequently and thus know the course.

Well known course that had fallen into disrepair. New owners/money are bringing the course back.

This is a great course. Not maintained the same way as when it was private but a good value for the prices they have today. If you have not played Tanglewood you should.

I like the fact the course was well maintained, good scenery everywhere, and the greens were in very good shape and quite a few holes gave you a good challenge also. I'd play it often if it wasn't over an hour away lol, overall a great course to play, definitely one to come back to again.

Drainage on the back nine is poor. Greens are good, but tees need work. Sand traps improving, but a long way to go.

A beautiful piece of property, well designed challenging course with large well maintained greens. New owner is working to restore conditions to its original state, if this is ever accomplished it will be one of the best public tests in NE Ohio.

The condition of the course is pretty shotty, hopefully as we approach summer it gets better but it needs a lot of work. It is nestled in a neighborhood with some pretty nice views. Not too sure if I'll be going back this year..

It rained heavily the night before we played yet the course was in very good shape. The greens were fast and true and the rough was thick.

WE ENJOYED PLAYING TANGLEWOOD VERY MUCH, THE COURSE WAS RATHER WET BUT STILL PLAYED TO A FAIR LENGTH FROM THE WHITE TEES. THERE WERE SOME BLIND SHOTS. PACE OF PLAY WAS GOOD AND LOOK FORWARD TO VISITING AGAIN SOON.

They have really but some work into this course and is in the best shape it has been in for years. The greens are the best I have played in the area. The staff is supper friendly.

We had a nice day on the course and the greens rolled well despite the amount of rain there was. I was disapointed that we had to play because of how wet it was and some greens were not puttable due to puddles. Since they would not provide a rain check and we could not get a refund we played all 18. Its a good value and a good place to play.

I rained very hard early in the day. With standing water on some greens I was surprised the course was open. It is a challenging great track. While it is not in great shape it remains very playable. But it keeps getting better each time I return.
