Tanglewood Club

Wonderful course; good layout. Great for the price. Fairways and Greens were in excellent shape; tee boxes need some work. Was well worth the price we paid. Had some drainage issues in places. Staff was excellent on-course amenities were a little lacking. Overall wonderful time.

I thought the course was in great shape. Greens rolled true and at a good pace. Bunkers were nasty and need help.

Course was solid with lay out and conditions. Pace of play was atrocious. Seemed like they overbooked and weren't checking on pace. Took 2.5 hours to play 7 holes, at one point 7 people were at the same tee box waiting.

If you love sitting on the course and waiting to play this is the course for you. Our round took us just shy of 6 hours. We had a 10am tee time and didn’t get to tee off until 10:45. I had a similar experience last year but wanted to give them another shot because it is a fun course. Nothing at this course has been updated since Bush (1) was in office. Hope some new management can come in and teach these chuckleheads how to properly run a course.

Course was in good shape don't get me wrong, but the groups that were in front of us were the worst golfers I have ever seen! There was 4 or 5 4somes for the worst traveling golf league i have ever seen! 5hrs and 10 minutes for 3 of us to play 18. Told the staff multiple times but they didn't do anything about it. How does this happen, how would someone get enjoyment out of being that bad!

I'm sure Tanglewood was a great course back in the day and has so much history. The layout is really great but the conditions have deteriorated to the point of being bad. The tee boxes have little grass, the fairways have mud and bare spots throughout and the greens are in horrible shape. You can tell that they don't have the financial backing to get this course in shape any time soon. Very sad and hope to see it come back again.

This course has gone down hill quickly. The pace of play is horrific will take you over 6 hours to play 18 holes. Rangers don’t do their job. In the “clubhouse” over priced drinks and food. Suggest bringing lawn chair for all the time you’ll do waiting around.

Always enjoy playing the course, but pace of play was pretty bad this time. As a foursome, we play ready golf and never hold anyone up- the disappointing part was that we were jokingly told by one of the rangers that we were playing “too fast” instead of either pushing the groups in front of us or helping us play through. Other than that, we really enjoy the track.
