About
Stillmeadow Country Club (formerly known as Royal Oak Country Club) sits 15 miles from downtown Cincinnati and features an 18-hole championship, as well as plenty of practice facilities and a massive clubhouse, at 17,000 square feet.
Stillmeadow Country Club's course was designed by Bill Diddel, a prolific Indiana architect who's faded into obscurity. A charter member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, Diddel was born in 1884 and saw his first round of golf before the turn of the 20th century, perched on a hill in the Crown Hill Cemetery that overlooked what has become Indianapolis' Woodstock Country Club. He would go on to win Indianapolis's City Amateur as a high school senior and five Indiana State Amateur titles - as well as leave his mark on more than 250 golf courses, most of them in the Midwest.

Horrible Course Conditions
Course fairways were water saturated from irrigation system. It was so bad all over the course it was unplayable. Every shot from majority of the fairways was almost impossible to advance the ball. Large clumps of mud after shots on all clubs from wedges to fairway woods. To charge us $80 bucks each was horribly disconnected from the reality of the course condition.
Great condition
Despite the recent heat and dry weather, the course was surprisingly green and lush. Greens showed some signs of distress but did not impact play. Staff was friendly and made for a very enjoyable day.
Hidden gem
I almost dont want to review this place at the risk it becomes more crowded. Played in 3 hours, no wait, friendly people. Greens felt small for me, it was really challenging but I’m also not a great golfer. Conditions were really nice. Love this place. Only criticism would be for a more robust golf shop to buy stuff!
Still Meadow is Awesome!
Everything was great. For example, while I was playing someone patrolled the course for trash and broken tees and such. It was a very nice experience. Highly recommend.
Unique Layout
Enjoyed th hilly terrain the many courses in southern Ohio and the Cincinnati area have. The course is a story of two 9s with the front 9 being superb with rolling to hilly terrain, fun/undulating greens and great conditions. However, the back 9 is different! You know you have a weird layout when the golf advisor aerial has it wrong!! The 15th hole is shown ending at then16th green. Three par 3s is weird and that coupled with finishing the 16th hole and having the cart path take the golfer directly towards on coming drives from the 15th hole is ill advised for sure. I looked up old aerials on the course and in the 90s the 17th hole was moved off the water for housing; this, creating this condition.
All in all it is a solid course that I would play again.
Back 9
Course is in great shape. However, the layout is so strange. Thankfully it was a painfully slow afternoon and I was able to follow the group in front. Not a fan of 3 Par Threes on the back.
Challenging course
Very nice course, everything about it was nice. Very challenging, blind shots, narrow , and greens were very tough. Loved playing the course.
Excellent condition and pace
My son and I waited on no shots and got around in about 3:30. It was a wonderful 18 holes. Fast greens and lots of trees.
Great Course
The Course was in fantastic shape. The staff was super friendly. Tim the Pro was great discussing the layout of the course before the round.
Amazing
Overall a shorter course but still very difficult, course was in amazing condition will definitely go back whenever possible
First time playing with the “member for a day” offer - great condition after a bit of rain, able to get off the path for back 9. Tee times spaced perfectly, no one around us for all 18. Super friendly ranger, gave a great lay of the land. Overall 10/10 experience, will be playing this again.

This course was on GolfNow to my surprise since it is a private golf/country club. Tee times are 30mins apart; great pace of play. Staff was super friendly. Prices were fair and competitive. Carts are pretty new. Course offers a driving range and a putting green. Par 70 Challenging course. Par 5’s play very long. Greens had been aerated a little over a week ago when playing, but were in great shape. Would recommend
Tough Greens
I think Stillmeadow has the hardest greens in the city when they cut them for tournament play. Holes 2 and 3 are great back to back par 4's. The only bad part about this course is the drive from 17 to 18. Staff is excellent with the new PRO, and owner is always accommodating..
Couple goofy holes
If you don’t know where to go on one of the par 4s with a blind tee shot your drive goes into condos. Condition is average.
