Well mainicured fairways and true greens that held short iron shots. I was impressed with the course and how easy it is to navigate given the times we now live in. Check in thru one door and out another. Very clean and easy. From the first tee to the last the course was in great shape and am looking forward to the next round. Don’t forget to grab a burger at the course in house grill. Award winning and it is fantastic.

The guy behind the desk is a jerk, period. My friend lost a club there a week ago so when we returned he ask the little guy taking our green fee if anyone had turned it in without looking he said “No“ although there were several used clubs sitting behind the counter. Don’t know if they were rentals or lost clubs other golfers had turned in? At the very least he could have looked before answering “No”

Secondly only thing he said besides “No” was “make sure you have the carts back by 7:00 pm” We are the customers and you have a job because of the customer, we are not an inconvenience but that’s how we were treated. We’re from Arlington and have many other courses to play golf that’s a lot closer and that’s were we will be taking our business from now on!!!

Course itself had a great layout and was very scenic. The pace of play was very good as well. The staff very very friendly too. Truly, if the course was kept up at all, it would be an amazing course - one of the best I’ve played even. The sheer lack of grounds keeping, though, made for an absolutely terrible game.

Everything was in good shape except the greens were extremely sandy. Maybe it was due to recent upkeep to the surfaces but puts that should’ve broke a lot more had less break to them. Which was a little deceiving. Any shot that landed on the greens you could see sand splash up. That being said I loved the course layout and risk/reward was very good. Hitting the fairway is a premium due to high grass and penalizing lies for someone biting off more than they can chew. The grass around the greens were perfect for chip shots and mid range pitch shots. All in all I really enjoyed it and I would play it again in a heartbeat. I played at 3:00pm in the afternoon and because of the cool breeze coming off the lake. I didn’t even break a sweat! That’s rare in Texas. If you can’t play in the wind it’s going to be a long day because it blows all directions and left to right and right to left winds will make you re-think any iron shots longer than 120 yards out.

Way to much sand on the greens. Had to work at cleaning the sand off the ball. Needed to sweep them off better.

Got to the course 20 mins early to hit some balls with my buddy to warm up. The guy said I didn’t have enough time and told us to tee off right away. Which has never happened ever at a course. Then he told us to be back at 7:20 because a that’s when they close. I had a 3:10 tee time and on a Sunday afternoon. Pace of play was alright but in the back of my mind I was thinking about the deadline he gave us and joe off it was.

My cart (#12) had spider webs in and around the console area and my son-in-law's ran out of power on the 15 hole. When I returned my cart I did not see any cleaning agent or soap to clean the carts, just water. Not good with covid-19 being around. I will be carrying my own sanitizing wipes next time.

I knew the course was right off the lake but had no idea that the scenery was that nice around there
