Southern Oaks Golf & Tennis Club

We ended up not being able to play 18 holes because a female golf tournament. oh my god it was brutal we were lucky to finish one hole every 20 minutes .People should be warned about such an event before you get the tee time. Golf now is becoming such a joke I doubt I will ever subscribe to golf pass again it is not worth it

Bathrooms were nasty and in need of cleaning and stocking of paper products.

Golf carts were outdated and in need of being replaced. Almost all seats had holes and steering was busted and rattled or hard to turn.

Mud was everywhere near cart path on every hole that u had to walk thru to get onto course or hole.

The GPS system was annoying and made u backup as soon as u deviated from cart path.

I have played here a ton over the years. The course has done a fantastic job bringing the greens back and for the first time in recent memory the greens are actually receptive! The fairway on 18 is still under repair due to spring flooding, but they are getting close. Overall this course is on the move and I like where it’s heading!!!

Greens were in excellent shape rolled smooth and had some speed to them.

Southern Oaks is a good to great course for any player. You’ll never play in to another fairway which is always appreciated. Marshall was reliable in moving along slow players. Tee boxes visible and in good shape, fairways offered a good variety of challenges as well as forgiveness, greens are well planned and nicely maintained. Will definitely keep this course in rotation all year.

Southern Oaks is a great course to play, and I always enjoy playing here. They are still working on the 17th and 18th holes to try to improve the course and make it the challenge that it has always been, but for the most part, everything is great.

The wife and I have played Southern Oaks several times over the last few months and walked away disappointed each time. Although, we’ve met some great people on the course.

Course conditions are getting worse each time we play.

Pace of play is bad, too many twosome, groups are not spread out enough.

Show up, no carts available, no range balls available to warm up.

We are average play golfers.

This was our first time to play here at Southern Oaks golf course.

Overall, the course was in fair condition, and we felt we got a good price. However, there was major construction on a couple of the fairways and greens, and the greens themselves were a bit bumpy. Additionally, the canopy on our golf cart was loose and rattled throughout the round.

On a positive note, the gentleman at the pro shop was very friendly and accommodating.

Course was in good shape. Some greens and fairways were being sanded and improved.

Nice place to play!

This course has some length and the greens have a good amount of contour in them. Front nine greens were not good. Many dead/rough spots. Need some work. back nine greens were better, but they’re slow. Fairways had some wet areas/soggy. We had to lift,clean and place. Plugged a few drives in the middle of the fairway (not from rain). Overall we had a good time. I’d give the course 5.5.
