Cleburne Golf Links

The tornados might have hit the community of Cleburne but they did not hurt the course at all. The greens and fairways are in sound shape and we made it through a Saturday afternoon round in 3 hrs.

I will be playing this course a lot! Great overall experience, good layout and no sand hazards.

The course sets by Lake Pat Cleburne has some great views, the staff very friendly .Took the wife was a great course for her was open enough she really enjoyed it and now says is 1 of her favorite courses.Play was fast n no waiting till we caught the 2 groups in front n had to slow down last 3 holes but was still good pace.is in great shape and greens were some of best we have played so far this year .

Had a good time on the course. Course was in nice shape for a municipal course. This was my first time playing there and they grouped me with another pair of golfers as I was by myself. Enjoyed the afternoon and will definitely go back as it was also a good value.

It helped that I shot my personal best on this course - 80 - yes, 80 today. The grass is a carpet. The rough punishes. The greens are pristine and reasonably fast. The views are great too. The T boxes were excellently maintained and level! I would play every week if not so far away. The staff were friendly and helpful.The food (burgers/dogs) and all are top notch too. Try it. You will not be disappointed.

I had played here 10+ years ago. I knew they had rebuilt the entire course, but was very impressed at the improvements made. Not only a new club house but entire course overhaul. Course layout is a little odd because at the "turn" you are about as far from the clubhouse as possible. But the improvements are very good. Can play the ball "down and dirty" rare for a public course.

Cleburne Golf Links is in great shape. Greens might be in the best shape I have ever seen.

The greens were all bumpy and rough which made them slow. The fairways had those mud bumps that happens when you punch the holes in the fairways.

After playing several of D/FW courses this one has the best conditions overall this year! Tee boxes, & greens pristine, fairways are also coming in nicely.

My only warning is for those that have never played here is to take a gps or an extra hour due to the fact that there is a lack of street signs.

If you enjoy golf with views of a lake on almost every hole, Cleburne Links is the place for you.
The Links plays mostly north and south - wind with you on the front and against you on the back (for the most part).
There is ample space here with generous driving areas, and nary a bunker to impede your approach to the greens.
The greens have plenty of internal movement, and going long generally puts you in a steep catchment area - be short and below the hole if you can.
The par-3's all play to a different direction - basically N,S,E & W. A couple of them are uphill and play over water. #8 plays out into the lake - very peaceful out on that green.
Holes 5 and 12 share a great big double green, and #5 has a double fairway - I played it to the right with success.
I was running a little late for my prepaid time, called the pro-shop and Jimmy said "no problem, we'll fit you in" - and he did. Nice people running this course - right down to Felix out there on a mower.
It was a good golf experience for me - I think you'll like it too.

The staff was friendly and the club house was very well maintained. The golf cart ran out of power but they quickly got us another one. I Like the layout and the challenge. It was a good value for the price

I won't complain to much because I only paid $15 for the round. The course was a little dry but a lot of texas courses are right now. The course was pretty wide open when I got there 1 hour early and I expected to wait for my tee time which I did. The problem was that they were starting a tournament exactly at my tee time so they took us to hole 7 to start. Knowing they had the tournament it would have made more sense to have us start when we arrive so we would be out of the way but like I said it was $15. It just added 2 hours to our round. I would play again for $15 but not much more.

This is a fun course. Rough areas needed to be trimmed but this time of year strange things grow in the rough. Greens rolled well and fast. Great food and friendly staff..

Winter time and drought tough on fairways, greens pretty good considering

played on a perfect saturday afternoon with my junior golfer son. course is beginning to green up a little. good condition for winter time.

This is always a fun one to play and they have the best burger out of any course or restaurant you could go to! You have to try one!
The course was in good condition for the winter and coming off the snow storm. Cant wait to place out here again!

We played this course December 21, 2012 and it was in great shape for winter conditions. The tee boxes were not so hard that you could not stick a tee in them. The fairways were just right for lift your ball to the green or for a lay up. The tees were fast and the holes were placed in challangling places on each green. The staff was very friendly and glad to see you. We always enjoy ourselves when we play this course.

We played on a Saturday and it was busy but we managed to get it in in under five hours,not bad for a foursome.Overall it could not have been any better for the price we payed,thanks to golfnow.com!

We had a great day to play and the course was in good condition.

Course layout is very different with the front 9 ending and back 9 starting well away from the clubhouse. Holes 5 and 12 share the same green but is manageable and not confusing. Clubhouse is extremely nice. Holes 16 thru 18 finish off with a gorgeous lake view as well as hole 1. The only thing lacking is bunker play on this "links" course. The drive was far but for $15 including a cart made it worthwhile.
