Cleburne Golf Links

Enjoyed playing the course except for the tight fairways and a lot of hard pan in the fairways.The greens were very nice with a smooth role.The wind was about 15 to 25 mph which really makes a links course much harder,but that's golf.I hope to play there again after some rain and there's more grass on the fairways.

The course could use some clean-up here and there. A lot of debris and trash piled up that needs to be removed. Greens and fairways are still a little rough. The staff did honor the Golf Links discount even though I moved my tee time up. Good experience overall.

Everyone said the slow play was not typical but multiple fivesomes on a windy weekend day meant 4 groups on the 3 pars. No marshall and no hope of increasing pace. Short par 4 and reachable par 5's didn't help.

This is a nice open course. The greens were fast and the pin placements were tough

I have played on this course many times and it is always great. The staff is friendly, it's never too crowded and the course has never been in bad condition. It is a beautiful course right on Lake Cleburne and is a wonderful place to get 18 holes in every time.

We played this links course three time while we were in the area. I enjoyed the layout and it was a great value for the money. All the courses we played in January were mostly dormant, but this course played pretty well in those conditions.

Pros: This course has a great view of the lake, and plenty of Texas native natural environment, which I'm sure is even more beautiful in the spring and fall months. The staff was also very friendly and the pro shop was nice. Cons: The course has ALOT of hazards, water, very tall grass and weeds that make it VERY hard if not impossible to find an even slight unexpected fade or slice. (I would not recommend for just starting out) The back nine scenery away from the lake is pretty dull.

I loved everything from the super driving range to the entire front 9. I played the front 9 back-to-back since I had to drop my partner off at the clubhouse. This was my first time to play this course and wish I had found it sooner. It even offers Lake Pat views throughout.

This course is always in super condition. Practice facility is top notch. While not the longest, there are plenty of challenges - if you score well here, chances are you score well anywhere.

the course has a nice setting and is a good place to play golf because the south wind is very refreshing coming of the lake.

Despite all the rain the two days before, drained well and greens very smooth.

This course was not at all what I expected from a small town, a very nice and challenging layout, I really enjoyed it and will play again.

I have never written a golf review before and I have played well over 100 courses. Cleburne Golf Links is a hidden jewel for anyone who loves golf. Very scenic and the course was challenging but fair. Just wish it were a little closer to where I live. (about a 1 hour drive). Will definitely play it again with my friends.

Only paid $10 for the round on a Tuesday afternoon so I can't complain at all. BUT I was impressed by the newly model club house, brand new golf carts, and very well maintained course. It's not a hard course as there are no sand bunkers but it does have its fair share of narrow fairways and hazardous par 3s. It's a hidden gem through the country side of Cleburne with nice lake view on most holes. It's was 98* when I played and the lake water breeze really helped cools thing down a bit. Fairways are nicely lush but the greens were a bit irrigated with lots of sand. Pace of play was fast as i was a single and the 5-some in front of me was nice enough to let me through, which lead to a 2.5 hours round. Overall good course for the price.

Loved it so much I did the $8 replay - 36holes!!!

I made the drive from Mansfield not really knowing what to expect, arrived before the sun came up before realizing the lake was right there. Played with a couple regulars which was really fun, and then again after their famous burger lunch. The greens were immaculate! Fairways were fine - very "links" looking which is what I wanted. The regular rough was really fluffy and challenging, and the dry fesque looking stuff made you appreciate what the pros have to play out of in the UK! I will add this course to my regular rotation - about 45min without raging down the road, which was smoother than anything in north Dallas. SIDENOTE: On #16 I started to daydream about the lake front homes you see beyond the green. After my round I drove down the road because there are clearly beautiful huge homes sitting up from the road. You pass by one that looks awesome....then a second even more grand...and then you start to see boarded up windows. My first thought was foreclosure or something. Then another...and another...and another, but this time parts of the house MISSING! Then another - almost ALL of the home gone! WTH!!?? I'm from Hawaii and didn't know there had been a tornado in the area... I got home later that evening and googles Cleburne and read about all that happened back in May. Prayers to those effected....

This is a great place to go out and play if your game is suffering from the scoring blues.... Helps the ego, no sand traps, just stay our of the rough (natural area) and you can score low...

Colligan did a great job! Love the views of the lake and breeze off the water made things a little cooler. Good mix of holes and liked the mostly wide open tee shots! Will be again for sure!

this was first i played in eight years.i have 5 strokes and heartattack.i wanted tosee if i could.i have alot of work to do.i didnt play that well.i did par the 16 hole .
