Hawk's Creek Golf Club

Hawks Creek is a good course and in good condition with exception of a few greens, but every year they raise their prices. Pricing out most ordinary people like military and teachers. I do still like the course and want to play it but from five years ago they are way above inflation rate.

I have played a lot of courses this year and it has been a tough one for some, but not HC. It was in great shape. I enjoyed the fairways and the greens were just coming off a sanding and fast. The bunkers weren't in real good shape, but I wouldn't let that affect whether or not you would like to play here. This was a deal and I certainly look forward to playing it again in the near future. And on top of that you generally get a nice airshow because the course is so close the base.

The course was in great shape. Very friendly staff. Marshall assisted in hurting up slower paced players. Greens and fairway design made for some challenging shots.

Third time this year to play and it was an absolute delight. Early holes (1-5) just okay but from 6 on it is really nice. Greens very nice , smooth , quick. Good variety of 3's , 4's, 5's. Friendly staff. Great pace until 18th tee. Play it again. If I lived in Fort Worth it would be my go-to.

Good condition although bunkers were washed out do to a heavy storm the night before.

Fairways and Greens in good condition. Greens a little slow and few holes had dead stripes on them.

The course is ok. Layout is good, but the greens were a disaster and the bunkers are mud. The staff is without a doubt the rudest I have ever encountered. I give a lot of latitude to golf course staff as they often have to deal with complaints, but these guys are aggressively confrontational. I took a group of 11 here and they badly bungled our booking and actually gave us grief over it. One member of my staff had already refused to go there, and now the rest agreed never again. This is my first negative review of a course. And it is primarily due to the staff. Wow.

played here many times over the years and have never seen Hawks Creek in better condition, expecially the greens. For late summer, this course is as good as anywhere.

Course is in excellent condition. Design changes are well done. A lot of fun to play. Challenging but fair and playable.

Hawk Creek is visually pleasing. It is that time of the year where everything is very green. The fairway grass looks more like carpet, I did not discern many divots. It is a medium to a little better challenging course. The course has various hazards to look out for, streams, ponds, heavy rough , etc. The only caveat to playing there was the driving was closed for renovation/repair and the tenth hole's Tee boxes were under repair. I was informed that all the repairs should be completed in six weeks. I will play it again.

The staff was extremely cordial . Was surprised at how personable the gentleman was at the check-in ! The course was in good shape but the tees were really hard packed ! The greens were nice and puttable , even after recent punching . The fairways really need to be fertilized and watered to soften and thicken them up . Had to move the ball around in the fairways to find some thicker lie but that wasn't a problem . This course is quickly becoming one of my golf groups favorite to play ! Got a $15 green fee from GolfNow which is a steal for this course . Great day of golf fun here !!!

Overall course layout and consistency fro hole to hole. The driving range and some portions of he course were excessively watered!!!

There were no notes about any course work on the listing. I was so disappointed and mad to pay $49 apiece to play after we finished. The greens had been aerated recently and there were many ground under repair holes. Some of the holes had temporary tee boxes just stuck well you know like over there for now. I would have stayed home and played the local course if these facts weren't hidden from me on golfnow. I took my son to play there because it was so nice five years ago when I first played it. What a disappointment and a fraud for not mentioning these problems on the golfnow ad. I will never play there again and I feel they ows me my money back. $49 each times two and 25 mile drive one way for that I don't think so. So golf ears don't waist your money on this place bad condition and never said a word about these conditions and charged premium price we thought it was very few people there now I know why.

We had been wanting to play the course for a while, so when it became a 'hot' value, it was perfect. We had a free round with a paid round from our time on GolfNow, so another positive.

The course was in fantastic shape with the recent rain providing plush fairways and great tee boxes. The rough was just tough enough to make you hit the ball in the fairway. The sand traps were a little hard, yet expected with the rain and the heat combination.

The greens were FAST yet fair.

It became windy on the back 9 with some pretty heavy gusts, and a few holes played long into the wind.....you can't have everything.

Overall, a wonderful morning playing a round of golf.

Although we played only a few days after a huge rain on the course, the course was in great shape. Fairways and greens were outstanding. Played in early morning, leisurely finished in 3 1/2 hrs.

This golf course was in excellent condition. Clubhouse is a very unique and historic structure worth seeing. They have had the benefit of much needed rain in N Texas. Practice facilities are currently being renovated but should be complete shortly. A great golf experience!

Had a 6:00p tee time. No food or drink cart came by. After 9 holes, the grill was closed at only 7:30.

Sprinklers came on at 7:30 on back 9. Then employee came and asked us to leave after #17, before dark. Guess he needed to get home..

Golfers Nightmare Fella's BEWARE. SLOW PLAY. Fivesome, ahead of the Foursome ahead of us. Our threesome waited on every tee-box and fairway shot from the #2 hole through #18. Wide-Open ahead of the fivesome. The Twosome behind-us, was on the tee-box with us on most-every-hole. Marshal was seen on 4th hole, never seen again. Called pro-shop, someone came out "but" came back to tell us the hold-up was a five some up ahead, "ya think"! We felt bad for the people behind us that paid full price. 5.5 hour round. "AMAZING". Hawks Creek finds new ways to disappoint every single time we play it.

The course was in great shape and I look forward to playing it again later this summer. I did not rate the overall facility conditions as excellent because they are still working on their practice area to be completed in 2 months so could not warm up prior to my round. The greens and fairways were in very good shape plus completed my round in 4 hours so a good day.
