Good but the Weather Won
Nice course, the weather moved in after 9 holes. The wind picked up to 20-30 mph, rain and temp in mid 40's. We called it a day. But we will be back.
Short course, interesting layout
The course was in ok shape considering all of the weird weather we have been having. The greens were sanded do slow but receptive to most approach shots. Not sure I would play there again until the weather turns around and allows the course to green up.
The course seemed very short. Lots of drivable par 4s and most of the par 5s were easily reached in two even hitting 3 wood or 3 iron off the tee. Overall seems like a target golf type course.
Course
Good course, I enjoyed the f22s flying right next to us.
Great greens as usual
Love this course. Not in an as good as shape as it usually is, sure it's just the winter. Greens were very nice though as usual. They hold shots, roll true, break like it reads, and are really quick. Can't wait until fairways are back in the spring. I.d play again tomorrow if could though. Great layout.
Early in season
Good conditions considering time of year. Wanted to walk course but not permitted. Food is limited and pricey. Range balls overpriced and location is not convenient. Fairways in good condition. Course is challenging due to many sand traps and water hazards. Not for beginners!
Hawks Creek
First time to play the course since the re-design/update, which was some time ago. Very nice!!! Much more interesting and challenging. Fairways are dormant; greens in good shape. Very challenging par 5s to finish each 9. Friendly and accommodating staff. I'll be back.
this course has a nice layout
This course is laid out well and has some very challenging holes
Nice layout
Course was in good shape, well-maintained. Greens were very nice, but many pin placements dicey. A little short from my usual (blue) tees, so played a little easy. Also, surprisingly crowded for the time of year, so a bit slow. Overall though, nice golfing!
Good value
Announced as the golfnow tee time. Staff didn't seem warm to golfnow. Course is challenging. Would play again.
Tremendous course, beautiful and challenging
Love playing this course, very challenging and beautifully kept up for play..
Hawks is a great course
One of the best public courses in tarrant county. Greens are rolling great. Awesome pace of play. Cute cart girl. Everything about hawks creek is great one of my favorite courses since it reopened. It makes it even better to get a nice golfnow deal! Go play you won't be disappointed!!
1st Time & Will Be Back
Played Hawk's Creek for the first time using a Golf Now special. Course was in good shape, greens were in very good shape. Staff was friendly and efficient at check-in. The course requires a variety of shots and this is a course where having played it a few times would definitely be to your advantage. Pace of play was a little slow but was due to the ability of the others in my group. The course definitely has its share of challenging holes. A good test of your golf game.
Hidden Gem of Funkytown, TX #fortworth, metro area located in Westworth Village.
This course is one of the best courses in Fort Worth and surrounding areas. The picturesque CASTLE is top notch for service, food and drinks. Best Staff around, while providing the avid golfer with a challenging experience. Excellent Tournament host as well when we are there with various TCU groups. Proud to call it my home course...
TIPS for Saving Par - Be able to putt with a loud gallery of fighter jets buzzing your head from time to time. #F37lightning
Golf course is always fun to play. The staffs are very friendly and helpful
The course was in a great shape. Super friendly staffs. Always enjoyed playing there. Pace of play was a little slow on the day I played considering on the weekday.
Great value for the money, challenging from back tees
Not a long course but nice elevation changes, good use of creeks, trees and small ponds to make it challenging from the back (gold) tees. Nice to NOT be in the middle of neighborhoods although seeing the backside of a WalMart detracted from the experience just a bit ;)
Greens & fairways in good condition, cart worked well, no complaints about the course condition.
Knowing the layout of the holes & hazards would definitely help, there were enough doglegs and hills/trees that I was sometimes guessing at whether my target spot would leave me with a good next shot.
Great value, $41 including cart on a Tuesday morning. Wind made it more difficult, apparently it was unusually windy for that time of year. Playing solo at 6:50 a.m. my round was 2:30, not sure of pace of play when it gets crowded. Near Carswell AFB and it looked like a lot of older/retired military folks were starting their round as I finished so it might be slower normally.
I will definitely play here again next time I'm in Ft. Worth.
