This is a super friendly place to play golf. It is in great shape and the layout is beautiful! I will drive 55 miles each way to play again!
Great Day / Course
Seems like I repeat my self on these reviews, but I can’t say enough good things about HC. The course is in great shape as usual, the staff is super, as always. Pace of play was great.
I really enjoy playing Hawk’s Creek, and a lot of it is due to the staff.

Fun course
We had a a great time, course was in nice condition and pretty. Challenging but not too difficult. Only issue was pace of play…the foursome in front of us was painful slow and we didn’t even understand what they were doing just standing around most of the time. We finally got around them at the turn but by then the time damage had been done. A Marshall on the course to help with pace of play would have been very much appreciated. We will definitely be back and make it a standard in our monthly rotation.

Good course to play.
The course itself is in good condition. Fast greens, well maintained bunkers, good fairways, even tee boxes and good mix of par 3, 4, and 5's. Those are the things that matter most when it comes to a course and Hawks Creek was good on all fronts. As far as the course layout goes, the holes themselves were fine but going from hole to hole seemed like there was a bit of distance and the course just didn't seem to flow. The surrounding scenery was not good at all. I know it doesn't affect the golf, but playing a course with nice scenery is just a more pleasant experience. There was a small putting and chipping green to practice on and a driving range that was across one of the roads in front of the clubhouse. I didn't see lights at the driving range so its not the type of place to go practice after work. Just a place to hit some balls before your round. Didn't see a practice bunker either. The clubhouse looks real cool from the outside but was pretty basic and underwhelming on the inside.

First time golfing in Texas. Grass and conditions vastly different from Northern US Courses, so that was an adjustment. Course has a fun layout that's fairly challenging from the blues. Nice rolling hills, and slight elevation changes were a pleasant surprise. Plenty of water and bunkers upped the ante a bit. Bunkers were in good shape which is super rare. Greens in great shape! All in all a great course and the locals say it's one of the best around.
My only complaint is the range is pretty garbage. Funky turf that marks up your clubs and the balls are junk. I care much more about the actual course, so whatever, but they could vastly improve the range.

Nice round at a new course.
My wife and I played Hawks Creek while visiting the area. The course was very interesting, with a creative layout. They had just fertilized all of the greens, which made putting a bit of a challenge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would like to play it again sometime.
