The Club at Rebecca Creek
About
Located at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Course at the Club at Rebecca Creek sprawls across gently rolling terrain dappled with mature oak trees. The golf course has had several different iterations over the years, it was formerly known as Rebecca Creek and until 2013 it was the Hawk at Rebecca Creek. There were several green and fairway improvements before it reopened under its new name. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and there are some tough holes but overall it's a golf course that players of all skill levels will enjoy. Trees line the fairways and there are some subtle but tricky changes in elevation. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and practice green available.

Average Course
We played in the morning. Getting off to the tee was no issue. Starter was friendly, and got us on our way in little time. Biggest issue for me is the condition of the course. Fairways are patchy. Greens were in pretty good condition. Slow roll, not sure if they cut the greens that day. Rough is riddled with rocks and prominently weeds. Ton of different types of grass seen on this course. Overall we had fun, but I definitely don’t think it’s worth $45 to play. Needs more maintenance to charge the amount it would be to play at a nicer course.
Overcast
This morning here in San Antonio tee time was at 7:30am. Cloudy and overcast was difficult to see your shots, made the adjustment shot 79. Still overall great round of golf.
Played well today, missing some putts, greens are running true. Very nice. Fairways still some work, yet overall had a great time. Shot 79.
Tic Toc 60
The greens are in Execellent condition. Fairways still needs some work, other than that greta day of golf.
Shot a 79, miss 3, 5 footers for par, next time.
Just Bad Condition
The main problem with this course is the condition plain and simple. The grass in both the fairway and the rough was very spotty and had weeds everywhere. Some spots were hard as a rock and others were like hitting out of mud. Greens were a bit slow and bumpy, but overall still playable. The staff was kind and friendly. But, they had a tournament that morning and had groups of six out there. Needless to say the course was backed up and we had a 5 hour round. Probably won’t be returning here unless the condition improves.
Not good pace of play
Really couldn't stand that balls from the practice range were on the danm fair ways, 3 of which all intersect in a nightmare of chaos.. Felt really rushed even though my tee time was pushed back by 15 mins..
Pasture Golf
Greens were in good condition even though they were spraying with something to look green. Fairways were cut close and the ground is very compact. Seems typical for central Texas golf courses.
Rain delay
It rain the night before. The fairways are turning green, a little wet today, overall had a wonderful time as always.
New Grips
Bought some new golf pride grips. It really help with my control of swinging. We had rain a few days here in San Antonio, and it's really helping with the fairways with my approach. Shot 80. Great round. Greens are in great shape and rolling true.
Soft Fairways
It rain earlier this morning. The fairways was a little softer. Shot 80. Fairways need some maintenance. Other than that the greens are in excellent run true.
Beginner golfers and poor course conditions
With all the options in SAT, the only reason you play RC is its $15 or less to play. The rules posted for the course are not managed. Jeans, tank tops, and poor golf etiquette are what makes this course special. Tee boxes are sand traps and fairways are only watered by nature. Play somewhere else so you don’t ruin your clubs.
Fun layout, but course dried out
2nd time I played this course. Fun layout. I enjoy it overall as value for the price on golfnow hot deal. But would not pay much more.
Fairways are so dried out that everything rolls or bounces forever. Bare spots in some places.
Greens were in good shape and grass around greens pretty full.
I want to play in the spring when it gets lots of rain.
Good pace of play, even when crowded. Marshal was present several times and friendly, but made sure things moving.
Everybody super nice.
Bad Lies
It would be a Awesome course if management would reconstruct or rebuild the fairways, the greens are in great shape. But the fairways needs some work..
Thank you.
Putting For Eagle
Played a great round this morning. Par 5 on in 2 . 15 feet from the cup 1 feet from making my first eagle. Shot 80. The weather was nice.
Easy course, not in great condition
Shot my lowest score ever, but the fairways were hard and dry so even mishit drives would roll a long way. Greens were in good condition. I've played better courses for less money.
Slow play and no etiquette
Beginners course with lots of hacks. Had a foursome in front that was behind a hole and a douche wearing a navy hat wouldn’t let our twosome play thru. Never again
Fairways need help.
1st time playing. The fairways were in rough shape, but the greens were in great shape. No water or sand traps, but plays long a bit.
Very nice staff. Near Valler Creek which is in better condition.
Good deaI on golfnow, plus located near Canyon Lake.
Would play again if the price is right. Do wish that the fairways come back.
Great value for the price
This is a great golf course for beginners or advanced players. The fairways are wide open and there are no bunkers or water to deal with so you can really go after it, if you so choose. I really look forward to coming back.
