Located at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Course at the Club at Rebecca Creek sprawls across gently rolling terrain dappled with mature oak trees. The golf course has had several different iterations over the years, it was formerly known as Rebecca Creek and until 2013 it was the Hawk at Rebecca Creek. There were several green and fairway improvements before it reopened under its new name. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and there are some tough holes but overall it's a golf course that players of all skill levels will enjoy. Trees line the fairways and there are some subtle but tricky changes in elevation. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and practice green available.

Good Course, Friendly Staff, Great Pace

Let me start this by saying I haven't swung a club in 5 months, and I happen to pick a day here in Texas that the wind was blowing 40-50mph gusts to start back up. I got a great deal on GolfNow for a tee time and read the reviews ahead of getting there, I have learned to take those with a grain of salt.

Arriving at the course the staff was very friendly, the pros hop has what you need, but nothing to write home about. There is a restaurant attached, I didn't grab anything today. The driving range was off grass(ish) mostly sand, it had been used up and was in need of attention. Staff asked if I wanted to stay in a foursome or if I wanted to get out as a single, I appreciate that.

The course is tucked into the hill country and plays around houses but it wasnt fairway lined which is nice. The reviews made it sound like all of the fairways were bare dirt and non-existant, that couldn't be farther from the truth. I will say that around 20% of the fairways are rough or down to dirt, but most of the landing areas that I found in the fairways were good. Greens were fast, but in great shape. Now the tee boxes, that is where I have to say this course needs to do something, they were uneven and 90% sand/dirt. I don't know if it would help, but a little tee trashcan on the boxes for players to dispose of their tee, I was surprised at how many broken and abandoned tees there were.

The layout is straight forward, the majority of the holes were straight, 18 has a dogleg left. There is no water hazards or sand traps for that matter. The rough was short so it was easy to identify your ball, and OB was a ball donated to mother earth.

No fault of the course, but the wind was something else, going with it I drove like a tour pro, going against it I had better luck kicking it. I was able to drive the green on #1 375yards with the assistance of a very strong gust. On #9 my ball landed pin high and the wind helped it off the front of the green. Then on #14 my drive stalled in the wind @180yards and decided to blow onto the next fairway like a kite.

Overall, I will come here again and play. Yes, the course needs some work, but it is not a bad value for the money and is a great course to shake things off and work on your game.

Over priced needs lot of work

if your looking to play golf at the beach/rock quarry on a course that has no bunkers for the fair price of 50 bucks this is the course for you. Staff is friendly and the club house is pretty but that’s all this place has going for them. Me and a buddy played and have played some really seriously bad golf courses and this is one of them. On the Bright side of things they are putting most of their money to greens which is nice except for they have forgotten to plant any grass on the tee boxes so it’s a bunker shot if you aren’t hitting driver.

New management ruining course

I was a member of this club but new management has started being hostile and appears to be targeting older 75+ players. As I said I was a member and need an accommodation because of my knee issues which after several conversations prior management accommodated. New management has disregarded this and now will no longer allow me that accommodation. Honestly the only reason I played this inferior course because of the accommodation but they have definitely changed their attitude towards certain players. Anyways poor course and poor management leads to poor golf outings

The greens always seem to be in very good shape. The problem is the fair ways are hard and in need of more grass

Not worth regular fees

I was not impressed with the course condition. Fairways had little grass, mostly hard pan dirt. Greens were ok, very fast somewhat hard. I played because I got a hot deal, but I would not pay regular green fees ($50) for this course.

Good Warm Up Course

The course is normally in pretty rough condition. Only water the greens and the fairways are very rocky but I come here to get ready for the season and work on my game.

Loved this! Comfortable course with great fairways and grens

I was pleasantly surprised by this course. Having played a lot of different modest courses, this one comes in very strong, stronger than the best municipal courses out there to be sure. Do hot expect a high end country club feel but rather a well maintained course and friendly staff.

Could be a great course

This course could be a great place to play if the tee boxes received some attention. The fairways are bare and don’t have much grass to hit off of. I will say that the greens have definitely improved from years past but it makes it hard to get a good approach shot when you can’t get a decent lie in the middle of the fairway. Staff was friendly and the Marshall is constantly checking on everyone to make sure we as golfers receive an equally great time.

I will continue to play this course in the future but would love to see some attention to the fairways and tee boxes.

Rebecca Creek Golf

Pasture Golf. The greens were in great condition..that is the best I can say. The course has very limited irrigation, so you imagine what the fairways look like. The course has many bare spots and rocks. The layout is funky, without someone that knows how to get around, you will be lost...limited directional signs.

For the price and a quick round, 3.5 hrs..I will go back to give it another try.
