About
Royal American Links Golf Club pays homage to the birthplace of golf, the seaside links of Scotland, an inspiration that is also reflected in the architecture of the clubhouse. The 18-hole course was created in the traditional link-style but with added features not typical of the classic design including water coming into play on nearly every hole. There are also large, deep bunkers protect the sloping greens, many of which are double-tiered. Royal American Links Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 12th. Its green is guarded by a not only a large rock wall but also water to the front and left. There is a large bunker to the left of the green that will swallow any errant shots but players with a sharp short game will be able to manage.

Beautiful, but challenging.
Everything was great about the course with two exceptions; most sand traps were unplayable and a few weeds. Other than that, beautiful fairways and greens. Very challenging greens with varying speeds. The clubhouse was nothing short of phenomenal. Would definitely go back!
Bad shape
$54 for mud traps and destroyed greens. Don't think I'll be headed back any time soon.

Nice layout and course conditions, but..
Layout was great. Fairways, rough, and Greens were in good shape. The sand traps were awful. Time to invest a little there.

Course was nice. Staff is really good.
Only complaint was the standing water. They have some drainage issues so if it rains the night before expect a lot of spongy fairways. Greens were great. Not a super long course but you better play smart and be accurate. Great staff and will go back again

Great layout but could use some work
They layout of the course itself was awesome for my play style and the staff was awesome. Course needs some drainage installed. Yes its the beginning of the season and i new it would be wet but it was flooded in alot of areas. Will definitely play here again once weather starts getting better

Worst condition I’ve ever seen a course in.
Royal looks like it’s been going downhill for a couple years now. Divots everywhere. No maintenance on the course. Tee boxes torn up. No rakes for bunkers and weeds in bunkers. Leaves branches and debris everywhere. Needs a complete renovation or new ownership. Only good thing about royal is the staff is super friendly and nice to talk to.

Course conditions
For the time of the year it is understandable, but the greens were extremely bumpy, didn’t seem like anyone fixed their divots ever. I would expect it to be better in the months to come.
