About
The Grizzly Course is a collaboration between Jack Nicklaus and Desmond Muirhead. Since opening in 1972, this challenging layout has been host to numerous PGA, LPGA, and Senior PGA events. The golf course features long, curvy fairways lined with towering trees and there are strategically placed bunkers throughout. The three final holes feature water hazards, which are also accompanied by a difficult array of bunkers. It offers a fair amount of difficult holes but overall the course is playable for a range of skill levels, which is why it is an appealing layout for tournaments. In addition to the two courses, the Golf Center also boasts an 11,000-square foot putting green and an Academy Course with four championship holes.

Not what it used to be
First of all, I enjoyed the day. It has been 15 years or so since I last played here. While my memory may not be the best that far back, the course was not up to that past standard. The tee boxes were not good at all; mostly weeds or dry areas. The Fairways and Roughs were fair but the greens need work. A combination of people not fixing ball marks and dried out dead areas made this not what I expected.
I like the course layout where the shortness is balanced by the tightness. Greens did putt true if the above mentioned problems were not in the line.
I'm glad I played there again but it would not be on my regular rotation.

New ownership course has gone downhill
I have played this course for 10+ years and have never seen it in this bad of shape. I really like the layout and it's a fun course but after not playing for a few years I came back yesterday and the prices increased quite a bit and the course conditions have steeply dropped. A lot of the fairways are dead, the bunkers are mostly pebbles and rocks and the course is dried out badly. Hopefully they can put some money into the course bc for those rates I won't be back any time soon.

Course is under repair Summer 2022
The ball really carried in the fairways- they were pretty dry... Which explains all of the irrigation equipment laying about. There are some areas that are ground under repair as they install the new watering pipes and such. I played from the white tees because I wanted to work on my long irons, which made this course fairly easy.

Value for the money
This course was just purchased and the new owners are investing in the course, so understand through this time you may find things in progress. They are working on all new irrigation at the moment so don’t expect fully green lush layouts. However they are very cognizant of this and it is still worth the play. Staff, location and value are all 5 stars

Major irrigation work two holes closed
No mention that course is going through major irrigation work this year. You have to play two holes on academy course. Pace of play was unacceptable over 5 hour round. No rangers on course to move people along. This use to be one of the places to play in the area, going to lower half of the list now after yesterday.
