About
The Grizzly Course is a collaboration between Jack Nicklaus and Desmond Muirhead. Since opening in 1972, this challenging layout has been host to numerous PGA, LPGA, and Senior PGA events. The golf course features long, curvy fairways lined with towering trees and there are strategically placed bunkers throughout. The three final holes feature water hazards, which are also accompanied by a difficult array of bunkers. It offers a fair amount of difficult holes but overall the course is playable for a range of skill levels, which is why it is an appealing layout for tournaments. In addition to the two courses, the Golf Center also boasts an 11,000-square foot putting green and an Academy Course with four championship holes.

Course is under repair Summer 2022
The ball really carried in the fairways- they were pretty dry... Which explains all of the irrigation equipment laying about. There are some areas that are ground under repair as they install the new watering pipes and such. I played from the white tees because I wanted to work on my long irons, which made this course fairly easy.

Value for the money
This course was just purchased and the new owners are investing in the course, so understand through this time you may find things in progress. They are working on all new irrigation at the moment so don’t expect fully green lush layouts. However they are very cognizant of this and it is still worth the play. Staff, location and value are all 5 stars

Major irrigation work two holes closed
No mention that course is going through major irrigation work this year. You have to play two holes on academy course. Pace of play was unacceptable over 5 hour round. No rangers on course to move people along. This use to be one of the places to play in the area, going to lower half of the list now after yesterday.

Rude staff
Was kicked off for pace of play when we were told we started early to take our time and have fun by van, who was the only friendly person there. The assistant manager confronted us twice, the second time after we skipped a hole to ‘speed up’. Course was not takin care of at all and tee boxes were in rough shape! Then their card machine was slow and slowing up my pace to food! Do not recommend!
Monday round 2022
Monday....10am..No waiting at 1st tee box....mason senior residents get discount on round and new balls. I accidentally left my $30 water bottle at cart pickup..was pleasantly surprised to see water bottle at same spot after 9 holes. All staff was polite and courteous. Very easy booking thru this app...no reservation fee cheers..ziggy
